Had help to post pictures today. These are some that I forgot to send.These are my BOP Santas I think Karen will like them. The other two are Santas from gift bags that

I framed about 3 years ago.

Oh WOW...I LOVE them. What beautiful, soft colors on that set. I've never seen anything like them. Where on earth did you find these? The tree is especially neat.

I'm really glad you could post photos and let us see more Christmas. The framed pictures are wonderful, I can't wait to do that next season since I found some bags I really liked at DT just before Christmas.

LOL, nana! I am happy you shared your BOP pics! Such soft pastel colors...not a "normal" Santa look! Sweet! And that framing of bags on this forum is such a good idea! Love 'em! TFS! Jeanne S.

I think I have red sister, and I just got some more this weekend. They are very nice and easy plants to grow, mine like miracle gro and also water. They seem to love humidity also, but just misting the leaves every once and a while will make up for that. They are pretty fast growers too, (mine grow about a foot or so of new trunk), but if it ever gets too big, just cut the stalk back and root the cutting. They dont seem to shed there dead leaves as easily as other common tropicals and although it will eventually drop dead or damaged leaves, you might want to cut them off so it looks cleaner. And make sure you buy or plant them in groups. Most stores sell them as 3 or 4 plants in a pot, but if you get single plants, make sure you group them together to give them a full look. Thats about it, they are amazing plants. Good luck!

Oakley, hope you find your trifle jar so you can share pictures when your done. Thanks for the comments on the purple and lavender together. It matches this bath and one of the guest bedrooms. Karen, send me your address and that little snowman will be on your door step before you know it. With the way you feel sometimes I think you should do whatever works for you. I sure do.haha Janet, I used to think like you but once I started buying the other colors I fell hard for them. Who knows it might work for you too. Dream, please feel free to use any ideas of mine. I've probably used some of yours before.LOL My snow bowl I used for this is my Princess House Chip and Dip bowl if this helps. I used my purple margarita glass in the center. Jane, didn't mean to bring on an Anxiety Attack! But a Girls Gotta Do What A Girls Gotta Do. That overhead light means someone forgot to shut off the light.lol I didn't notice when I posted the picture and had to go back and look after reading your post. The light turnons are on the hinges and so easily turned on with just a slight touch. Jeanne, help me out girlfriend. How do most BOP's look? Inquiring mind wants to know. Like the window ledge huh? Sometimes we do better under pressure! I was on a roll this weekend but it may not last long if we can get ready to move our office. I just remembered I have some of the brown ornaments some where and I have snow village and church ornaments with snow in them that may look pretty in the margarita glass.hum...may be doing some tweaking. Jeanne..your bathroom is a waaay too serene setting! I don't think I'd come out of there...I'd just grab a book and 'chill'!! lol Love your BOP decor...the little angel is precious and love that little tree. I think I mentioned once before that I had one just like it when I was a young girl..my DM would put it in my room. Seeing yours is always nostalgic for me. That 'Mission' shelf unit is a nice piece and is decorated with the sweetest things. Also love that special Nativity...it's so unusual looking...I love its simplicity! Thanks for 'tour' of your Bath...what a pleasant place to visit!! jane

Hoja Santa - will it work well here?

I'm doing some clean up on a planter - http://www.gthomson.us/projects/landscaping/planter-2.jpg Fixing the sprinklers, removing what's left of the BoP, leaving the palms. I'm in SoCal, and this is on the North side of the garage. It's mostly shaded, but may get a small amount of direct sun, and possibly some filtered sun at times (filtered by the palms.) I'm trying to figure out if an Hoja Santa would go well there in the middle of the palms. Both seem like they are shallow-rooted, which seems like it could be a problem. And the Hoja Santa sounds invasive. But it would be at least 6', with at lest 3' of that under a walkway, before it showed up on the other side of a pathway where I don't want it. Might it be able to still do that even if being a shallow rooted plant? It sounds like it can get quite high (9'+) and I don't need/want it to get that high here. Will being in mostly shade, combined with pruning, help keep it shorter? Since it's an invasive plant, with shallow runners, would it then make sense to pair up a few plants with deep tap roots into that planter in some way?

I am so glad you gals on here came up with the idea of framing the pretty bags--some of them truly are so pretty they are works of art! Love your blue santas, such a pretty shade of blue. I have some pink ones that I just love, but didn't use them this year. So glad you had some picture posting help today, love seeing all your pretties. ;o)

Love your Santas and that pretty tree. They make going to the 'Potty'..A Very Pleasant Experience!! Watch out for Ladies with BIG PURSES!! lol
I agree, that the colors are so soft and just lovely.
I think I remember you showing one of your Framed Christmas Bags before..and thought your idea was 'genious'. They look great and such an easy way to compliment Christmas decor w/o breaking the bank. Thanks NanaK

Thanks everyone, I got the Santas and tree at Big Lots some years ago. They only carried them one year. I think many of their items are closeouts. I'm always happy when I can find something different there.
Jane, It wasn't me who showed a picture. I saw pictures of framed Santas in magazines. They were quite pricey and not as large as mine. I got the idea when I saw the red Santa on a bag while shopping one day. I got the frame at a second hand store and hung him in the TV room. When I saw the other one I decided to frame it for the living room.it cost around $10 for both.

Love the Santas quite a change from the jolly ole' man in red - the tree is so cute - I wouldn't pack it away too far - I can see it in an Easter vignette with soft pastel sugar houses - how cute would that be :) - I am going to look at bags at DT now for a valentine one to frame and then Easter. Those bags are so pretty and so inexpensive - just a cool idea for seasonal change .....

So funny! I'm plugging in all sorts of words that had to do with the medium that might have been used, or the store from which it was purchased. I kept coming up blank. Back of Potty! Never would have gone there ... so to speak. ~Blush~
