Cabinets with crown molding at vaulted ceiling? Anyone have?
Comments (10)Hi Sherriz, I am sorry. I am so confused by what you are saying. I do not know what a false front is. I skipped by this post because I have limited knowledge on cabinet design. I am sure someone else on GW will chime in. I was hoping someone would post so I could post later more specifically what you might be looking for. Why don't you do a search on false fronts. That might help you with the specifics on how to do this. For now, I can post some images of vaulted ceilings. Maybe this can help you. At least you can have an image you can draw on. A mock up with photoshop. ~boxerpups This is Smarge's kitchen from GW. Maybe you can do a search on FKB or even her link and ask her how she did this amazing space. Comments (5)Skylights (Velux, specifically) are terrific, but don’t add trapezoid-shaped windows! If you want to add a window, add one that matches the style of the rest of the windows in the home (they look like they’re single- or double-hung) and don’t put it up high on the wall. Pretend the ceiling in that room is the same as the rest of the rooms on that level and keep the top of the window frame in line with the tops of the other windows and door in the room. And remove the chair rail! 😉...See MoreVaulted Ceiling: Do I match the beams w/ the rest of the trim & doors?
Comments (8)If you don’t get that properly insulated, there goes all your conditioned air you spend so much money creating. Who on earth designed that to not have any insulation???? Comments (2)Thank you for your comment. After doing a lot of reading / research on the web, I'm worried about impeding airflow and/or causing a moisture problem. The insulation guy is installing the fiberglass rolls as we speak, and we are headed for sub freezing temps for the next week, so I'll soon know if it helps. I just want to make sure I'm not going to inadvertently cause a problem (moisture, impeding airflow etc.) either now or in the summer when it will be hot, hot where I live!...See Moremaggiepie11
