It's a really cool fixture! I immediately thought of Kichler, but when I look I see options that would be complementary but not the same glass shade. This could be just a matter of not scoring the tape before pulling it, no? When you tape and then paint over the tape, you have created a seal there between the trim and the walls. You can't really just pull the tape without breaking that seal first or you may pull mass amounts of wall paint off in sheets. You can break that seal with a sharp putty knife or razor knife. This paint is not cured...in a month of so it will be stuck a lot better than it is now. I'm not saying there isn't an adhesion issue...there may very well be one, but I am saying that it could also be just a matter of not scoring the tape before pulling it.

Hmmm I wonder if it would be too hot if only 14â away from head or starting at 14â back from countertop. Or, if standing at cabinet center the light would be (roughly) 22â off face to side back. I have bought the mirrors already and the sconces after reading that others who were in the alcove lighting position did so to diffuse harsh overhead lighting. I didnâÂÂt read anything about it being too hot. Now I wonder!!! I guess if it was too hot and I went to 45w each it would still diffuse and spread light. We donâÂÂt really spend that much time in the mirror to ignite as I can put my makeup on in less than seven minutes and that includes plucking. I think I'd choose the purple or teal, since either should look good with the cabinets and countertop. Obviously, the landlord doesn't mind bright colors :) Maybe a soft, grayish-lavender on the living room walls, with a purple or teal accent wall in the kitchen? She should have some fun with it, since it's an apartment and she isn't making a major commitment to color...cute place!
