more plan help - need to reduce cost by about 20%

You may have seen my post about appraisal woes. Even though the bank has initially preapproved us for more than the amt we need to build, the appraiser came back at about $100K less than we need - they gave us around $100/sq foot, whereas our builder is proposing around $130. So we need to cut costs by about 20-25% to make this more manageable. Short of simply cutting out square footage (we can shrink some places), does anyone have other suggestions. We are basically going back to square one and redesigning our home. We have a large family - soon to be (VERY soon hopefully) 6 kids (right now it is 4 girls and 1 boy, not sure of the gender of the newest), and an even larger extended family that gets together at least monthly - often 30+ people for meals, etc. I frequently prepare large meals to donate (homeless shelter, Ronald McDonald House) so would like a decently sized kitchen. Let me know if you have any other questions. Here are our original plans.
