Ok, so we don't have one of these fridges yet, but we do have one on order.

We're planning a bar-type pull similar to what we think we'll be using on the rest of the cabinets. We're planning for this style to pick up on the stlye of handle on the fridge and double oven (also Monogram)

I do agree that the knob might seem a bit underwhelming, but what about finding a handle that mimics the style of your main refrigerator?

Don't rule out the knob without looking at it against the finished paneled bev. fridge too (have some one hold it up or use some looped over painters tape to hold it in place temporarily.

Monogram UC refrig is on bottom right. I used a bar pull--Top Knob, Normandy, which is about 6 inches long. It looks and works great!

davewg - thanks for the feedback. I will do a mock-up using a knob but I like the idea of the bar-type pull.

lsandler - love your bar area. The proportion of your handle looks perfect.

What model fridge are you all talking about here? I need an undercounter beverage cooler for soda and wine for our bar and the dealer showed me the GE Monogram beverage cooler with the 2 wine shelves on the bottom. But it has a glass front and stainless frame and cannot take a cabinet panel.

Are you all talking about more of a fridge vs. a beverage cooler? Anyone got the model number so I can find it? Thanks. I really want one that we put a panel on.

Mine is a refrigerator with ice maker rather than a beverage cooler. Model # is ZIBI240PII. It comes either stainless steel or panel ready.

Thanks for the model number. Now after a night's sleep, I see you put it in the first post. I just missed it. I may go that route vs. a beverage cooler.

Sandtab, we used the same pull on our paneled UC beverage center as we used on the rest of our cabinets. It works just as well as something bigger and really adds to the integrated look. Why pay extra to make the appliance blend in only to make it stick out again with a different pull?

I see what you mean. I think a matching handle is the way to go.

BTW - I love your bar backsplash. Are they mini marble subway tiles?

We have this in our garage apartment at our lake house, and use the same pull on it as is on the rest of the cabinets. There's a link below to the pull we used --- agree with others that it needs to be more than just a knob, and that it needs to match the rest of the cabinets.

Yes, my backsplash is 1"x2" white venatino marble tiles. We got them on closeout last year, but Walker Zanger offers a similiar tile in their Tribecca collection.

I am thinking of purchasing this model, but the only review i have found is negative. What is your opinion of this refrigerator. Any advise will help. Thanks.

Our refrigerator has been installed since May and we have not had any problems. A couple of things to be aware of:
Even when the icemaker is "full", the bin is only half full. We go through a lot of ice so this is a disadvantage.
The model with the custom panel does not sit flush with the surrounding cabinets. At first this was glaring - now I don't even notice it.
The refrigerator is not anchored to the adjacent cabinets so that it has some movement. If it is not centered correctly, the door does not always close completely. Our GC fashioned a solution and the problem went away,

After having two SZs that had a lot of issues, we are happy with the GE. On occasion we do miss the freezer portion though.
