Has Anyone Considered Modular?

As we all know, modular homes are the same as site built homes. So has anyone considered them? I currently live in a modular and I have all the same things as a site built home. But the time factor was far shorter since the building season is shorter up here. There are communities where just modulars are erected and nobody can tell the difference between them and site built homes.

There's one neraby that went up a few years ago that sits near an original 1803 colonial. You would believe the homes were built at the same time. The modular is a two story colonial complete with portico in front and a slate roof that'll last 100 years. Just like the one nearby. It has 2x6 walls, Hardiplank siding, a curved staircase in the foyer, a gourmet kitchen, etc. But it was completed in under 6 months.

Oh, and it sold for around $1.4 million.

Modulars ain't what they used to be! They don't cost less than a site built home, but the time factor is so much shorter!
