Well, it's now this:

From time to time, I change out the top notch by putting a paper macho ball over the original drawer pull.

Now that is quite a change! Out of the 'darkness'....tho I sure loved Poe's raven in it too. That's a neat idea to make the top look different. Cloches are such fun, and big statements in little packages, which is the best part.

Here's another Fall pic...this vine tree I got after Christmas sales...always wanted one of these...have seen some artisans make them with grapevines! The piano bench I got last yr. at a ts..$18, I think...and the pretty round quilted cloth last mo. at an estate sale for $4...so I added some Fall decor ...and now I can enjoy this Fall tree as I look out at the porch garden...still blooming...no hard frost yet. Fall is here and Christmas just around the corner...anyone interested needs to go to the "conversation" side and check out posting on Secret Santa. If you don't know where "conversation" side is located, just click your back arrow after reading this & scroll to top of this forum where says "Messages" and beside that is "switch to: conversations" ... click on that. Hmmmmmmm...this is a hard one. Like many, I love it just the way it is. But then some sort of stone in the center could really set it off. I like what concreteprimroses suggested about a found object because ravens are junk collectors. What about some sort of polished stone? Be sure to post a picture if you do add to it! I would love it either way. Robert, I know art galleries in a few small Wisconsin towns that are big tourist draws that would love this kind of stuff!

Well Karen, I'm tickled to see your decor too. So glad you joined the party. Everything looks great! I agree it's hard when you go all out for Christmas on your mantel and don't have as much for the others. But it still looks great. So fun to see how you added the vine on your lamp to go with the birds and nest on your tea cart. That's the cleanest real bird nest I've ever seen. If all of you keep showing me cloches hopefully I'll get there one day.HA Love your bird cage. It's such a neat shape. The lg brown vase is so pretty and those birds are neat beside it. Most of your decorating will work clear into Spring if you want it to. Little Teegan is adorable with her china tea set and bunny friends. I really like the tea set up on pedestal stand too. The little bunny's blue hat looks pretty cute. I best head to bed. It's still snowing. We have at least 10" already. The news said fog and freezing rain in the morning on top of it. The snow plows couldn't keep up earlier today so it will be interesting. How's all of your weather? Stay safe and warm. It is fun when we have more to enjoy here. Punk

I'd cage big ol' "Ah-nowld" too. That's one wicked looking bird. LOL. Neat how you glittered him and did his eyes in glow red. 'Nevermore' is probably hiding from him, you know how brothers can pick on each other! Love all the cobwebs, and the way you disguised your normal art work is perfect. Way to go!! Yes, the Enablers here drag us into buying and decorating in ways we never have before. LOL I am going to do some cobwebs this year for the first time, have been really liking that look. I'm only doing a real small area for Halloween tho. My family-room mantel, the built-in shelves to left of it, and the small round table under them. Otherwise, just leaving up my Fall decor. And I am going to confine my Halloween decor pretty much to witch stuff. They are my favorites, and frankly, I just don't need to go overboard buying MORE holiday items to try and store. I've gone so nuts over Fall as it is, and Christmas of course, that somewhere in my life I need a little self-control. LOL. Your buffet is wonderful and has me inspired to get out my stuff this weekend. hugs, karen

Oh my goodness, Jeanne. I didn't think about that! Perhaps I should have covered up her *hoo hoo* with pink panties before I posted. After all, this is a PG forum.

OA, love the change using your wire cloche. So clever to cover the knob for different occasions. One would be pretty painted white too.

Wish I was staying home today. I would be playing to see if I could make one of these. You are such an inspiration.
