The information on the Entropian's say that it's something that becomes noticeable by the time the dog is a year old. This never happened until he was 3 and again now that he's 5. I can see the scratch....it's really a small indent on his eye ball. It cleared up last time. This time they are in different spots. So it's a scratch. The eye looks so much better in just a day. I'm going to keep administering the drops as I have been. I just listend to the Vet because I thought it was what was best but found out through research. I do like the Vet, though. I've known him since I was quite small because he used to take care of my parents and grandparent's cows and also our cats and dogs. I trust him.

We bought a strip of the carpet protector plastic sheeting (generally used under wheeled computer chairs) with the peggy nubs on it, and left it, peggy nubs up, in front of the "cookie cabinet" when I had a "scratcher dog" boarding here. We actually only needed about 24"x24" piece for about 3 days (CAREFUL of your own feet,, don't ask why I say THAT :)), but as practigal said, they're eminently trainable when there's something in it for them! :) Just make sure that you don't just move the treats out of one cabinet into another.. you'll need to find a new space away from the cabinets. We also discouraged same dog, who came with her own set of bells to scratch at when she wanted out. My painted anaglypta wallpaper thanked me..owner was always wondering how her door frame always had scratch marks.. duhhhh :)

No fix reaally at all other than a refinish.
