Use Spectralock epoxy grout as band-aid for leaky shower??

... or perhaps Mapei Opticolor???

Shower stall is original, developer-built with hot-mopped pan in 1964, so it's done its duty, and owes me nothing! In the near future I *WILL* tear it down to the slab and studs, and rebuild and re-tile it properly (Kerdi membrane?)...

... but in the meantime, it's a rental property, occupied by good long-term tenants, and neither they nor I are too keen on doing the major teardown while they're living there. (One of them works from home.) It's a 2BA unit, so they've still got the tub-shower in the other BA to use.

Tenants are looking to jump on a foreclosure by Oct., so I just need a 6-9 month "band-aid" solution 'til they move out.

Have also thought about Marine-Tex, Bondo, and just fiberglassing right over the existing tile, LOL!

Anyway, talk me out of this, shoot me down... or tell me how Spectralock stopped your leak and bought you some time!
