Want to share something special with you

I wanted to show you a couple of plates that I received from a very special, thoughtful friend. She gave me five lovely plates that had belonged to her Mom. I just love them and will find special places to display them all. This blue one is my favorite, and she shared with me that it was her Mom's favorite too. The white rose one has lots of gold edging, and I thought it looked good with the gold items in my jars. Hope you enjoy seeing them even a fraction as much as I enjoy living with them. ;o) Luvs

Very pretty, Luvs. Looks like she found a good home for her Mom's plates with you. Both arrangements are lovely but the blue is my favorite.

Luvs, How very nice of your friend to share her mother's plates with you. And I know it must be very special for her to see you using the plates and enjoying them so much. Both arrangements are very pretty, but the one with the blue plate is my favorite also. Thank you for sharing them & the stories of the plates with us.

chris11895 - A BIG THANK YOU!!! I was down CC today and went to Tree's. I have found my future tile place. What an amazing selection. I am so undecided but have some favorites in the Ravenna line. I only wish I had known about this place sooner! I found some wall tile that I would have SO loved to be in my shower! Well, the next reno is back home bathrooms, so I will definitely go back! Thanks for the tip and I will post pics as soon as I'm done! I'm dealing with so many problems with the finish work and getting down there to approve everything, and have found a couple of "don't use contractors" if you'd like the head's up!

Here's one in my front yard that is somewhat similar Here's another one in my front yard that I especially like This one is now in the ground in my back yard I've never grown them from seeds, but I love them because they bloom all year. The colors of the flowers vary from season to season, however, and are darker, more saturated in the winter.

Oh Luvs! How beautiful! Blue being my fav color you know which one made my heart flutter!! Your friend must recognize your love for sentamental objects to trust you with her Mom's beautiful plates. She obviously knows that you will treasure these as much as her Mom did.
My parents were poor and raised 7 children and there were NO funds for beautiful china. My DH's aunt had no children and has shared many, many beautiful pieces of furniture and china,serving pieces,etc. They may not be really expensive,but I treasure them because I know she purchased them with money hard earned and loves me enough to give them to me. We are VERY BLESSED.

The blue one is Myott Staffordshire Rose, they make this pattern in pink and green also. I have 4 of the green dinner plates that a friend found in a thrift shop..I absolutely love them..so glad yours found a good home.

My grandmother also has such beautiful plates... I hope having some too when I'll have the furniture to put them on ;-)

Those plates are beautiful, I love all of them, especially the thought that goes behind it, they lend a lovely romance to the table and room. You have a great friend to give you such a thoughtful gift!

You are right, she is a very sweet, thoughtful person. Always wanting to make someone smile. She really succeeded in this case. I just love rose plates, and it really touched my heart that she would think about giving me her Mom's special plates. ;o) Luvs
