ok, it's been a terrible week for alot ofus!! but, there must be some good things going one! i for one know that i really,really LOVE my family more than they'll every know! our son will be moving back home very shortly, he has been promoted at work, my daughter and i have gotten closer, if that's possible -lol, and Al, seems so much calmer and happier! Plus after that freezing weather we've had it's going to go up to44 for the next few days! Since, i think you all are having Thanksgiving and going shopping (it;s our bigGrey Cup - football) tell us all about your long weekend, we need some good stuff!!!! debbie - who think's she's in the tropics with this weather!

had a wonderful food filled T'giving Day - no one got upset w/anyone, I have my house all decorated for Christmas (that's a first - usually I start decorating 12/20) - the cats haven't destroyed any decorations so far...the laundry is done, I colored my hair and I have decided to give everyone that I haven't already shopped for gift cards.

Hope things get better and better for you....its sad about your MIL but I know the situation was stressful for you and Al - hoping the stress level gets better - sounds like you are really happy about DS coming back home.

Oh Debbie! I'm so glad your DS is coming home and a promotion too! Life certainly does go in cycles.
We spent Thanksgiving in Gold Canyon, Arizona. Our three sons, our daughters-in-law, and darling 3 year old grandson were all there. It was the first holiday in four years that we were all together and it was heaven!! I've been so sad for so long, well it just felt wonderful to laugh and talk and love and to feel so loved. I will remember this holiday for a very, very long time,

Hey DC well, i'm totally new to the forums and to the idea of trading. please know i did read your post and didn't choose *not* to follow it. i'm just always different and a problem. laughs. i wish i could follow your post better, but honestly i don't have much to give and am unsure of what some of your abbreviations meant. and don't worry, saying no to me is easy. you don't have to explain yourself...."not interested" works just fine and no hard feelings from me. i'm a newbie dealing in carnivorous plants, just got my first few sundews 2 weeks ago and such a novice i barely know what i'm doing, but so far they haven't died. i've read everything i can find and seemingly doing everything right as i've not killed any yet and from what i've read they can die rather quickly. but i'm really good at trying to do things right. i saw you deal in a LOT of carnivorous plants and would love to have seedlings, semi-mature plants from your collection. seeds would be great, but i'm so new i'd prolly be better off w/ a semi-established plant as i have had horrific results in the past w/ seedlings from the easiest plants to grow both from 1" seedlings and from seed. is there anything we can work out? i don't have much to trade, but i am willing to pay for some plants and shipping if you'd be willing to sell a few. i am most interested in bog condition sundews that don't mind living in damp environments because of how i am potting them. i have freeze dried bloodworms to give them now (they arrived today) but unsure how to feed a sundew w/o dew production and also not sure if i should put bloodworms down the throat of the pitcher plants or not. any advice you have is appreciated, and i'd love to get a few plants from you. thanks. Plant some flowers and 'weeds' that will repel the bad guys and attract the good ones. For example, I'm waiting for a trade for tansy that repels ants. They not only invaded the house, but , I believe, they farm ants on my plants. Search for beneficial insects and companion plants. There is a great forum here on GW: Plant pests and diseases. The Canadian Tire in Sarnia has already gotten rid of any plants but I got a great deal on the large bales of ProMix last week. $7.00 a bale! (normally $15.99) I got 3 bales to stock up for spring. This spring I had a hard time finding any early enough for seed starting or it was still stored outside under 3 feet of snow and frozen to the ground.

Lots of prayers going up for Wally! Yea...if he has that external bag not many people will know except the ones he choses to tell. So glad that you all had a wonderful holiday!!! i think if dd could she'd live on turkey!(so expensive here- 299 a pound!). i guess we'll start decorating for Christmas on the first, i was told my Aldon't bring an more Christmas stuff into the house, there's too much stuff, who could have too much!!!-lol. i took the dog out at 6 this morning and there was a tiny sprinkling of snow on the ground, plus it had rained all day yesterday, and right now we have a bit of a snow storm, some school buses aren't running, but we live about amile from the school, so dd went in, but scaring driving her! well it's off to make Al his breakfast (would love to be able to drive thru McD's-which is by the school and on my way home, but i could never get away with that, seems my day always starts off with dirty dishes - lol), so if it's raining or snowing, keep warm and drive safe!!!! debbie
