Anyone have a pic of a Zephyr Tempest 2 Hood
Comments (27)Hellonasty - when we built, the Tempest was available with a single or dual motor blower. We opted for the dual due to a greater flow rate. It depends on your cooking style and what you cook. The dual blower will definitely suck the unwanted odors out of the house much better than the lower cfm unit. When on high, it sucks the three filters against the frame as if it's trying to eject the filters from the house. You can tell the dual blowers really suck! If I had to do it again, I would spend the extra money to get the higher cfm. No question. As well, if I had to do it again, a Bluestar will be the focal point of the kitchen. Love the versatility and performance. Let us know how it all works out....See MoreVent hood, Broan, Vent a Hood, Zephyr, or Kobe
Comments (33)Mine is from builder. It is one of Thermolec air heaters ( http://www.thermolec.com/en/productView.aspx?type=product&id=77) plus a separate current triggered flapper. The heater tries to heat the air to 15 C (PWM), activated by the air flow. It is a passive one and connects to the air return of the furnace via a 10 inch duct. It is not as sophisticated and highly performed as Kas's....See MoreExhaust Hood Pro Canopy Zephyr Tempest II vs. Elica Calabria vs. ?
Comments (4)Mine is not exactly what you are looking for, but could possible have the same motor? I have a Zephyr Siena Pro 48" 1200 cfm, and absolutely love it! Plenty of power, no too loud, amazing LED lights, easy to clean baffles, 5 min delay shut off function, automatic reminder to clean the baffles. I haven't found a negative in the 7 months that I have been using it (daily). I wok etc...no problems. Be sure to have a 10" duct to keep the power and noise level appropriate....See MoreZephyr Tempest II or Tidal II range hood - dual blower loud?
Comments (29)@J Y Yes. We installed the two blowers in the Tempest II and have had it for over a year now. It was the best decision ever and the range hood is one of our favorite purchases during the kitchen renovation. It is not loud when you use it on speed 3 which is the speed we use all the time when cooking. We can still have a conversation in the kitchen at that speed without having to yell at each other. It has 6 speed settings and we only have to use speed 4 when we fry steak occasionally. The two blowers make such a huge difference in sucking up all the cooking smell. Can’t smell someone is cooking as normally the smell would travel up to the rooms upstairs. Very happy with Zephyr’s customer service as well as I called in a couple times prior to making my decision on a range hood and they had been very helpful in answering my questions. Let me know in case you have other questions....See Moredryslick
