dishwasher selection and loading-Help!

I have had 2 dishwashers over 22 years-a KA that eventually leaked and a Maytag that just began leaking. I was reasonably happy with them-until they leaked--hardwood floor kitchen...So I am in the market and decided on a Miele because it is a well constructed well regarded machine. It clearly is the best for a big load of dishes.

Then I took my 2 cookie sheets and 9x13 pan in (per advice from this column!!) and tried to load it. Did not work too well. They fit in the German Blomberg better, and fit in a Samsung and KA the best....

Now I am back to square 1. I am used to getting everything in -those bigger items go on the sides of the bottom rack on my previous American dw.

Any Miele/Blomberg owners out there? What do you do? A second load for pots/pans? The racking system is pretty important to me but so is dependability.
