I had trigger finger in my ring and middle finger on my left hand. Had a shot in each one of them help a little would catch every now and then but they would ache. Then on my right hand my middle finger started catching but didn't get a shot in that one.That one would ache too. Funny thing got a new to me car last summer and my fingers started getting better. I decided it was because my other car didn't have power steering and this car does. Once in a while my finger on my right hand will catch, but the left hand doesn't bother me at all. Kittywhiskers

Whelp I got the project mostly done. I need better latches on the upper cabinet doors as the cat Abby has decided I put that there for her to open doors and climb up into. GGGGRRRRRR Both pieces were on wheels !!!! All furniture should be on wheels. LOL The old stuff has come from all over. I remember the hooser came from a liquor store in Challis. Just some thing they were selling on the side.Most of my stuff really is just junk. Yard sale stuff thrift store. I still need to fine tune things in studio and kitchen but already Hoosier is great where it is and the ability to easily get to the appliances is a big help. Not that getting them from a shelf below cabinet is all that hard. For me now it is. sigh. Good news is my hands are getting better. This has been pretty miserable. I am going to jazz up the hoosier a little bit. I am not at all concerned to devalue it as it is not a good one. Crappy wood not pretty oak. Painted and all. Then I will get a picture. Adding fru fru to the top is out of the question Again Abby has her own opinion on what belongs up there and has cleared it twice already of what she does not like. This dang cat is more like an Orangutan than a sweet little kitty.

You should see a doctor soon, as the most permanent fix short of surgery, is an injection of cortisone. The injection works best if done early on after the onset of the problem. My rheumatologist told me that in time, after 3 or more months, it is unlikely that the injection will do much good. Then a surgical fix is the best solution. Splinting the finger now will perhaps return the finger to normal function for awhile, but it will likely return. I had a trigger thumb years ago that I let go for several months. I finally had to have surgery (it is a minor procedure, but still surgery). Last winter a trigger finger developed in the ring finger of my right hand. I kept hoping it would fix itself, wrapped it at night, etc. Finally after 4 months of it's getting worse and worse I saw my rhumatologist. He injected it, and it got completely normal in about 2 weeks. However, in the last month it is slowly returning. I have an appointment with my doctor next week.

Well, my symptoms have progressed somewhat over a few hours. I may change my opinion about seeing a doctor. (:-( I've developed a big knot at the base of the thumb, on the inside. That's where the problem is. The whole inside from top to bottom is a bit painful to the touch. That top joint is now pretty much stuck open unless I flex it with my other hand. It's still not a major problem, not very painful, and hasn't curtailed activities too much. But how much worse is it going to get? I've been icing it, I splinted it last night, and have been applying my topical anti-inflammatory cream (thanks to Alisande) which makes a big difference. It's been interesting, that's for sure. :-)
