I have a couple of Rev-a-shelf items. I'm not familiar with the Lee brand, so I can't offer a comparison, but the rev-a-shelf items work well. One other comment -- I purchased the trash can pull-out through the cabinet company because I thought it might be difficult to find elsewhere and it was TWICE the price. =80 And I don't mean the shipping, since it was coming with the cabinet order, there was no additional shipping charge for ordering the rev-a-shelf stuff. I later found the exact rev-a-shelf item, along with the sink tip-out tray, at Lowe's for half the price I paid the cabinet company. >:( The online price at rev-a-shelf was also much higher than the Lowe's price, and then add the shipping cost for ordering directly from Rev-a-shelf.

Hi, as numbersjunkie mentioned, you can use the Ikea hardware by itself. Each piece is sold separately. Ikea uses Blum hardware which you should be able to find in many different places. http://www.google.com/search?q=blum+hardware Lee Valley (as well as other places) also sells similar hardware. I mention Lee Valley, as I've used their stuff many times in the past, and it's very good quality. We can then create our pantry shelves/drawers the full depth of the fridge which is next to it. ~Missy

I have the Lee Valley pullout pantry next to my Twins freezer/fridge unit. I know that you are looking at the larger unit but I wanted to tell you that after using the unit for 6 yrs I am still very pleased with the quality . The customer service at Lee Valley was very helpful when we 1st got the unit and had questions about install. I have a lot of very heavy cans etc in my pullout , It pulls out well and the items stay in place. So at least you have a review of one of their products. c

I agree with you- I think pullout shelves are better. Though, unfortunately I can't tell you from personal experience, as my carpenter is telling me that they will be delivered tomorrow morning first thing- (if I had a dime for every time he's promised delivery- been waiting since February!) Anyhow, I do have the pantry pullout on one side of my floor to ceiling cupboards (have 18" cabinets on either side of fridge). I had to get that as I wanted space to hang brooms, mops, vacuum attachments, etc, and I could get a side mount pullout attached to one side, leaving room on the other side. The problem is access, even though it is full extension, you have the shelf above hampering your reach. I guess it's not a problem if you have lots of space between shelves, but then what's the point in that? My pullout shelves will be about 4" deep, with a half circle cutout in front- if they do arrive tomorrow, I can take pics- I am SO looking forward to having them installed- been using 16" deep shelves in a 24" deep cupboard, pain in the butt to reach to the back to access items. As you can see, shelves made just a little too wide!!!
