never heard of them, actually, and I've been having to deal with it since i met my husband- it seems to run in his family (all three kids, dad, aunt, great aunt have it) his seems to like: being kept out of the light, the cold, the wind cucumber slices nicole miller's moustiruzing mask (am thinking about trying to copy it- it's got so much strawberry pulp in it it has seeds) Yves Rocher bio-camille line. thankfully, he's not a tanner, or a drinker.

I have the same problem I think but have not been diagnosed. My skin is very red, oily, itchy and I break out in hives a lot. The ONLY thing that has helped me is staying away from products with chemicals. That's pretty funny what that girl's dermatologist said about s**t being natural but think about it...people want to sell products and the FDA doesn't regulate what goes into them. The more toxins and chemicals you put on your skin the worse you will get. Sorry, but not even Mary Kay or Neutrogena are chemical free! Drink LOTS of pure water, stay out of the sun (but don't use sunblock unless you are going to be out for hours, and then use a natural one), and use natural skin care products. I know they are more expensive but it's a good investment. I gave up some other things I knew I didn't need so I could buy better food and healthcare products. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Hauschka products. They are wonderful and work like a charm. They have great rosacea products. My favorite item is the Normalizing Day Oil. I couldn't believe the clerk told me to PUT oil on my face, but it actually made me less oily, red, and sensitive. They have great make-up too, and items for hypersensitive skin. Good luck! I will tell you a true story. This happened to my husband, not a friend of a friend's cousin's sister's next door neighbor. :-) My husband (a fair skinned man of British decent) had a bad case of Rosacea about 30 years ago. So bad I wouldn't let him wear red because it just made his face and head (he's bald) look so much worse. He saw a dermatologist for years. And tried all the typical treatments; internal (antibiotics) and topical treatments (Metrogel, antibiotics, cortisone, etc.). He used sunscreens, stayed out of the sun (he's a tennis player/coach so that was a tough one), stopped eating spicy foods, drinking alcohol, etc. , etc. Nothing helped. Not even a little. In 1994 we took a trip to Hawaii. We were strolling through a small open air market filled with food, health and art vendors. This one gal was selling bottles of Kukui Nut oil. We strolled by, ignoring the products since anything with oils seemed like a bad idea. As we pass the booth, we hear a woman say "I can help you with your Rosacea." She said it so softly we barely heard her, so she repeated the claim. We back peddled and stopped to see if she was using target marketing on my husband. I felt badly for hubby being called out in publicly like that but hey, if this woman's claim was true, I wanted to hear more. She again said that her product (pure kukui nut oil) would indeed help my husband. It was $8 for a small bottle which wasn't that big of a deal even back in '94 so we bought a bottle and continued on with our vacation. After vacation, hubby started using the oil every day for a month or so and before you knew it, his Rosacea was gone ... all gone ... nothing left. He eats normally, drinks socially, and still coaches tennis. And, he now has an assortment of red shirts in his closet. Can't promise anyone else this will work for you but hey, it's worth a try. A new review of the field of viruses in the genus Prunus has just appeared. It should give the reader a feeling for the complexity of the problems facing those who study viruses in roses. Prunus is a genus in the rosaceae family. "Kingdom Plantae – Plants Subkingdom Tracheobionta – Vascular plants Superdivision Spermatophyta – Seed plants Division Magnoliophyta – Flowering plants Class Magnoliopsida – Dicotyledons Subclass Rosidae Order Rosales Family Rosaceae – Rose family Genus Prunus L. – plumP" https://plants.usda.gov/java/ClassificationServlet?source=display&classid=PRUNU "Abstract The stone fruit genus Prunus, within the family Rosaceae, comprises more than 230 species, some of which have great importance or value as ornamental or fruit crops. Prunus are affected by numerous viruses and viroids linked to the vegetative propagation practices in many of the cultivated species. To date, 44 viruses and three viroids have been described in the 9 main cultivated Prunus species. Seven of these viruses and one viroid have been identified in Prunus hosts within the last 5 years. This work addresses recent advances and prospects in the study of viruses and viroids affecting Prunus species, mostly concerning the detection and characterisation of the agents involved, pathogenesis analysis and the search for new control tools. New sequencing technologies are quickly reshaping the way we can identify and characterise new plant viruses and isolates. Specific efforts aimed at virus identification or data mining of high-throughput sequencing data generated for plant genomics-oriented purposes can efficiently reveal the presence of known or novel viruses. These technologies have also been used to gain a deeper knowledge of the pathogenesis mechanisms at the gene and miRNA expression level that underlie the interactions between Prunus spp. and their main viruses and viroids. New biotechnological control tools include the transfer of resistance by grafting, the use of new sources of resistance and the development of gene silencing strategies using genetic transformation. In addition, the application of next generation sequencing and genome editing techniques will contribute to improving our knowledge of virus–host interactions and the mechanisms of resistance. This should be of great interest in the search to obtain new Prunus cultivars capable of dealing both with known viruses and viroids and with those that are yet to be discovered in the uncertain scenario of climate change." http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/aab.12371/full
