I don't have my actual work in progress floor plan in front of, so I recreated the problem area in paint, so it isn't to scale, but should give a general feel.

These 2 rooms will be 2 upstairs bedrooms and I need to figure out where to put closets. The 2 ideas I have are either having standard closets along the middle wall. This would leave the room about 10'5" by 15'8", so rather long and skinny. My big concern is that it's too big for kids rooms.

My second idea is to build walk-ins (around 4x5) along the wall opposite the doors, leaving an alcove for bed or desk.

I can't do much about the windows in the bottom bedroom, otherwise I could do a deep reach in or walk in along the wall with the doors. This would still be an option for the top bedroom.

If anyone has similar experiences in their floor plan design, or any other feedback I'd be appreciative!
