Sorry you're having such a tough time, Tracey. I don't think any part of remodeling or building a kitchen is easy. If you could post the mock-ups for everyone to see and rate, I'm sure that would aid us in giving an opinion. If you don't know how to post pics, you can do a search for the instructions.

I'd just want the one that had the features and reliability that will suit me in everyday use. I won't notice the look after the first few days, but will notice if the appliance doesn't do what I want it to, is too small, doesn't last, etc.

The one I think looks the best is the KA Architect convection microwave - here's how it looks together. The problem is that there don't seem to be many reviews of it here. Anybody love it??

Sears.com has a not-very good review of the KA microwave.

If you are looking for a uniform look, you should be careful to compare them 'in person' as there is a lot of variation in stainless steel finishes.

I'm starting to look at outfitting our soon to be built kitchen. Why have you settled on the FP oven?

stack IMO need to match. I am going thru some of the same as you right now. While mine are NOT stacked they are near one another. I am also considering the GE Profile micro/convection but over the range model. It is a cabinet or 2 over from my single oven....and I can't find an oven to match it. I don't want the GE convection oven or want to pay for it since I am doing the micro combo.

I too, would be very concerned about the stainless material matching if they are stacked.

I agree with Debbie. A couple feet apart and I wouldn't be very concerned about matching exactly. But I think an unmatched stacked pair would bother me. Personally unless I could find something that looks extremely similar (in the picture the KA does a MUCH better job) I'd either find a new location for the MW or I'd pick another brand oven that has a match.

Thanks everyone - I think I'm gonna have to move the MW/convection somewhere below counter if I'm going to achieve the look I'm after (clean modern lines). I can see even by the pics that the different colors of stainless will be an issue as well as the design.

duluthjeff - I picked the F and P because of all the positive reviews here as a midrange wall oven. I know people love the GE Monograms as well but I'm leery of GE (I went to www.fixitnow.com and it scared me away from anything GE).
