What cosmetics are you using now and how do you like them?

I scaled back my makeup collection a few years ago, so the pieces I have now are vital...

a direct-sales company named BEAUTYCONTROL makes my pressed powder- it's a wet/dry compact that is unllike anything else I've tried even close to the price, it's silky and even and stays put and wet, it covers the light burn scar on my forehead, something nothing else has done.

Lancome's liquid eye lining pen in brown/black

don't really have a mascara that I'm attatched to, but I do like the old fashioned maybeline cobalt blue in the traditional pink bottle.

a GAP eyeshadow called 'sunkissed' that's a pale peach ,

and the new Sally Hanson 'prism' line of nail polish- the one that changes color as your eye moves across it- I have it in ever shade they make, and my toenails are thrilled with it- and I'm happy with the coverage and staying power.

cleanser- Alpha Hydrox face wash or Clean & Clear cleansing scrub in the evening, Olay cleanser in the morning
toner- Sea Breeze or Neutrogena oil-free
blemish control- Neutrogena Night time clear pore cleanser, Oxy5 for sensitive skin, Persa-gel 10

foundation- Cover Girl Fresh Look, Revlon Colorstay Stay Natural, Revlon New Complexion (all oil-free)
blush- Revlon Smooth On
mascara- Almay one-coat
eyeshadow- Revlon & Almay in earth tones
eyeliner- Revlon or Cover Girl(twist up) pencils in navy blue, Wet & Wild in a medium blue
lipliner- Wet & Wild in a nude lip tone
lipstick- Using up my stash of discontinued Naturistics & trying to color-match it with something new.

(BTW, whenever possible I'm supporting the U.S. economy & jobs by buying from American beauty companies like: Revlon, Clinique, Almay, Cover Girl, Estee Lauder, Mary Kay, Merle Norman, Nexus, Jheri Redding, Clairol, Olay, Liz Claiborne, etc.)

I do pre-soaked 50/50 perlite/potting mix in clear containers. Then add an 3/4 inch of 100% fine dry vermiculite on top to seal out any fungus gnats or moisture loss. Then place them in a plastic ziplock bag. Once I see the roots in the cup and buds are starting to swell I take them out of the bag and put them on a south facing window (use suction cup shampoo holders). I put the clear cups in red solo cups to absorb heat and block UV from damaging the roots. Then I can pull the clear cups out and take a peek at development anytime. For watering if any pools at the bottom of the cup its too wet. If nothing condenses on the inside of the clear cup in full sun its too dry.

Dont hesitate use an oxalic prep. Just look on the back of the deck brightner product if the main is Oxalic use it.Soap and water will not condition your ipe. TWP makes Storm Shield. Water base,very long lasting finish. It will set up a lot faster than 116 so be ready for that. JonMon... Thanks everyone. I can continue to use Method's dish soap. The pH of their dish soap runs from 7.5-8.9. So, mixed with some water it will be fine. I've been using their all purpose cleaner too and that pH is much higher, closer to 11 overall. I guess I was looking for something more along the lines of the all purpose cleaner with which to clean. I don't really need to use a cleaner like that I guess, I'm just so used to using a product like that. Spray counters, wipe thoroughly, and I'm done. Rethinking, and actually redoing how I clean my counters was not what I thought I'd have to do w/my new countertops :-)

That's just the color of the water, it looks blue, it's normal here, but it's clean. We cleaned it with a strong chlorine cleaner several times before using it. But I read somewhere that using this type of product might lead to damaging the material from which the jets are made. We can't find any special products for a jacuzzi bath, only for pools where the water is standing all the time. I read that some people use dishwasher tablets but again it might damage the materials. I need to find the manufacturer of this tub and contact them about the cleaning recommendations. Just thought that others might have a similar tub and tell us what they are using.

I'm using Estee Lauder moisturizers - turning 40 in April...
I recently have had 2 friends with surgery scars who used Estee Lauder Night Repair and their scars are fading and flattening out unbelievably fast. I figured if it worked so well for that I may as well try it on my face!!! It is really nice stuff - a bit pricey, but nice.

Revlon's color stay foundation, I swear by it. Loreal's Accentous, No matter which new mascara's I try I always go back to this one, as well as my Mabelline extended wear lipsticks. These are my 3 staples and the rest I just dabble in not really commited to any in particular.
