oh, thank you...:) I actually suprised myself and never expected that I would get the bunny back together this well. I never attempted fixing anything like this before but I am really glad that I was determined to hold on to him instead of discarding him after his arrival. I had to get creative with his repair. I wasn't sure what to use to fill the gaps where I just couldn't glue in all the little slivers that had broken off... I used a product from michaels that is used to do raised stenceling and it said it would adhere to anything..LOL I had to repaint quite a bit of him just to blend the colors but when I was finished and put a gloss coat on where I had painted... I was amazed...LOL Now I am thinking about all the stuff I have thrown out in the past that I may have been able to fix...LOL Maybe this one was special because I wanted him sooooo much...:)

She was too hard, too cynical for my taste, and always "on", if this is what she really believed, she was not a happy woman - Maybe there was a real person hidden somewhere that she kept under cover.

Does MR look like that in all her recent photos, or did this one happen to catch her when she was both squinting and in mid-blink? I don't think a mere single photo represents how a person looks in reality. I wonder whether people's faces feel uncomfortable when they've had snips, tugs, and re-anchoring. Just seems like it would feel permanently uncomfortable. And does it not mess up the nerves in the face, such that maybe a mosquito lands over the cheek, but you swipe at it over the jaw? Tell ya what though, I knew a woman who, all of a sudden one week, kept sort of needling me to comment on her appearance when she was job-seeking after age 60. No way was I going to say anything. In the end, she confided that she'd had some plastic surgery in order to compete in appearance with younger people. Guess what? I could not tell any difference. She looked the same to me. She even pointed to specific spots and asked if they looked better. No, they looked the same. She did not look less wrinkled, not younger, not more rested, not like someone else. She looked the same and had spent thousands of her savings at a time when she was unemployed.

So sorry you are dealing with this Running.. these kinds of scary events make us vulnerable and much more sensitive to the actions of others. I had two surgeries last year and they were very scary for me because they were cutting into my eye and because it was out of town. One of my sisters was great support--not only transporting me but waiting through the surgery/recovery, filling the hotel room with things she thought I might be able to eat after surgery (I am very sensitive to anesthesia) and mostly just BEING there. I was pretty hurt though that I didn't hear much from my other siblings.. or friends. But the reality is, this isn't the first time that I needed support and didn't get it-- and it hurt all the more because I am ALWAYS available when someone else needs a shoulder or some help. it required me to do some soul searching. I am fiercely independent .. and in the past I've brushed off offers of help and support. No, I don't need anything, I don't need help, thank you-- but I CAN DO IT MYSELF. (Not screaming-- just emphasizing). Eventually, I think, everyone just came to expect that I wouldn't need their help. I will need to learn to ask for it when I need it.. something I loathe to do and something I really don't know how to do. But I don't think it's all my fault-- or the fault of any other strong, independent woman who hesitates to ask for support. I think it's become all too easy for people to make empty offers of help. "Let me know what I can do.. " has become easy to say but when it comes down to it, the same people aren't as quick to adjust their schedule or actually BE there... but that's a whole other topic.
