I do... and like you, I simply love it!!! My husband says it is the best make-up he has ever seen. He loves a more natural look and not caked on make-up. I do mail order... but don't really find their site user friendly. Seems like I always run into a problem of some kind. I recently found that "ULTA" stores carry the BM line of make up...and I'm thrilled! There is one within 20 miles of my home... at a wonderful new shopping center so I can just make a day of it! Win/win situation! :) Sorry that I don't have any to trade.

Wow, you folks are wonderful! Thanks for all the responses and encouragement. Diana is right, I need to label my photos. (And thanks, Diana, now that I have things in the gallery, I will go back and put a supersecret spy code on the PB albums! Nice to "see" you too!)In the L along the post and rail fence, I already have roses planted, and a few lilies which are starting to peek through the ground. I'll get more detailed pictures this weekend, but I have "hot" colors along the short end of the L (bright purple, yellow, red, orange), then white after that, and pinks in the last section. There are five roses there now, with 6 more going in this spring. I do know I need to do some underplanting with things, and add some height as suggested by MeMo. In fact, MeMo, I do have my eye on a teteur for one white rose by the fence, since it just might not ramble along the posts as I had hoped. The slab is actually one of two in the yard. The larger, which is a real patio, is next to the garage. The one next to the lasagna bed was intended as a parking slab for the PO's DH's construction truck. (Say THAT 5 times fast!) Party Music, you are right, the soil there is probably affected by the slab. The two slabs are connected by a concrete path. The PO's DH worked in concrete. They got a lot for free. The grass to the right of the slab in the photo was where the PO had a melon patch and BBQ pit. My DH has spent a lot of time and effort getting grass to grow there, and it is starting to pay off. I've never thought of turning that paved area right off of it into a sitting area. That could be really lovely. GGG, thanks for the offer! Please send me an email, I would love to take you up on your offer! Steven and Xantippe, thank you so much for the encouragement! My neighbor (who has the gorgeous forsythia) has a Mantis, and she is a wonderful gardener. I find it so difficult to get started. I see dozens of things in catalogs, but have no concept of placement and no place to put them. I am going to give some long and hard thought to the "bones" and take it one section at a time. And I'm gonna start on some lasagna beds going for next spring! Thanks again to all of you for your encouragement and suggestions! Keep 'em coming, and I will get more pictures up. Take care, Emmie

Megan, Nothing kills bermuda grass and that includes heavy mulch, pouring concrete on top of it, having a dump truck dump a big load of topsoil on top of it, wildfire (it just grows back better and stronger), or having alien beings from another world shoot it with laser beams from their eyeballs. OK, I'm just guessing about that last part. Mulch does help though. If you remove all the bermuda you can FIRST, and then improve the soil, plant into it and mulch heavily, you'll have a good start on suppressing the bermuda. By far, the most effective ways to remove bermuda grass are to use a sodcutter and follow up with digging out or spraying every sprout, or by planting lots of shrubs and trees and letting them shade it out. Or, just move to Alaska where it is too cold for bermuda grass. When I want to convert an area from bermuda or from native pasture to a gardening area, I like to lay down heavy cardboard and put at least 6" of mulch on top of it. I like to do that early in spring and then keep adding the mulch (grass clippings work great for me) periodically until the fall or winter. Late the next winter, I rototill all the decomposed mulch into the soil, and remove any bermuda I find at that time. Converting a heavily mulched area is 100 times easier than just going out into the yard and digging up bermuda. Yes, that means it takes a year, but since I'm continually converting new areas from grass to garden, I always start on next year's new bed this year. When a young, newly-married couple buys their first home and asks me how to plant a bermuda lawn, I suggest they rototill an area, improve the soil, and plant a veggie garden. Within a few weeks, they'll have a big healthy bermuda lawn in the veggie garden and then the bermuda will spread all over the rest of the yard. And that reminds me, a sense of humor is a bare essential for gardeners too, because there are times where you have to laugh about a situation, because otherwise you'd cry. We've been here in this house for 11 years and have converted about a half-acre from bermuda to garden beds. None of that would have been possible without tons of mulch. A half-acre doesn't sound like a lot, but I've had to fight the bermuda for every square inch. Dawn

It's pretty interesting how relative "essential" can be. When we were planning our kitchen (in our first home), I told my SO many GWers insisted a prep sink was needed for our kitchen layout, and I also tried to sneak a pot-filler into the bargaining as well. As I'm a clean-as-I-go cook, I didn't really have the dishes-in-sink-so-I-can't-use-it excuse. I went with the what-if-you're-helping-to-cook-and-we-both-need-to-use-the-sink argument. He said, I can wait my turn. So I tried the I-could-back-into-the-person-walking-to-the-fridge-with-a-pot-of-boiling-water line to which he said, don't worry; we have an ice maker. (This "sense of humor" may be why we do not have kids.) In the end, we really didn't have anywhere for the prep sink to really go that didn't involve trenching long distances through our slab for the water lines and drain lines, which we didn't want to do. As far as the pot-filler, I made the case that carrying a heavy pot filled with water across the kitchen could be disastrous for our lovely brand new bamboo floors, and he just looked at me and said, well, you would have to carry it back to the sink anyways, right? How could I argue with such logic?!
