I think your bathroom is very pretty! The windows look nice to me, what don't you like about them? Maybe if you put a lush plant on a stand at the foot of your beautiful tub that would help? Kind of like putting a bench at the foot of your bed :-)

Also, I wonder if your mirrors would look more proportional if you flank them w/wall sconces on either side...that is supposed to be very flattering lighting-wise too.

I keep coming back to your bathroom to see why it bothers me. There's not anything obviously "wrong" about it, but it just seems cold or impersonal or something. Maybe it's reflecting your postpartum depression at the time you designed it. Hopefully that has resolved itself and life looks better now. And here's wishing baby-cakes is sleeping through the night!

One thing I'd definitely do is find another solution for the bath towels hanging over the tub. They crowd it and look like they're going to fall in. I also don't see hand towels over by the sinks, but maybe they're there and we can't see. Those are little things.

Not really good for your budget, but how do you feel about a chandelier to replace the ceiling light? Your original color choices are on the elegant side and a chandelier would emphasize that, and perhaps warm things up. Similarly, you could go with framed mirrors to match your style - I can see either sleek and modern or baroque. A chandelier could complement either of those choices. With some style choices your current wall lighting will be just the thing, but with other styles, side sconces might be better.

If those were my cabinets, yes, I'd put hardware on. Again, something to complement your tastes. I can see clear glass-looking knobs and pulls, but there are lots of choices. Unless you really hate the faucets, though, I'd leave them and spend the money elsewhere.

I think it's very bland - probably a reflection of your mood at the time.

It needs some color - towels in red? turquoise? look at some towels online and see what color strikes you.

a patterned fabric with that color at the windows - and shower. and a cushion for your little bench. actually, I'd look for a more elaborate/larger bench with a back on it for that space. painted black? black metal trim? matching fabric cushion with a skirt around it (the legs). could just be a nice straight backed chair with padding and slipcovered.

over the mirror lights with a black base - to pick up the counter top. black handles / knobs on the cabs.

I'd just keep 1 or 2 towels on the rod over the tub nicely folded in so they hang flat.

maybe you could find some type of towel rack that is free standing to place at the end of the tub?

the plant idea is great also - a silk tree?

you also might need to replace those mirrors with larger ones. and something on the wall space over your vanity. don't you need lights over that also?

it looks like you have space on the far right wall for a towel rack/ring for a hand towel - do you have the space on the left wall also?

I have a couple questions that you can hopefully help with.

Towel rack: I currently have a small RH train rack. The bathroom is oddly configured and there isn't a lot of wall space for a towel rack. Not picture is the toilet which is on the other side of the shower. Any suggestions?

Mirrors: The entire vanity is 116", with each sink vanity being 44" W. If I go with say a 30" mirror, would I have room for side sconces? If I go with lighting above the mirror is there a standard for how wide it should be in relation to the mirror?

Above the make up vanity: Any advice with how to fill that space?

Our master bathroom is small and there isn't a space to hang bath towels; we hung some pretty pegs on the wall outside the bathroom (in our bedroom). So maybe re-locate to outside the bathroom or maybe a hook on the little space by the shower door? Or a standing coat rack is another option, eclectic yet functional.

Your bathroom looks very nice. I agree I think it needs some colour - roman blinds in a bold stripe. Black knobs to tie in with the black counter. I would consider a long mirror that goes from one side to the other side of the counter. You can get a nice bevelled mirror made by your local glass and mirror company pretty cheaply and then get someone to frame it in black. Move the towels away from the tub and get bold coloured ones to go with the roman blinds. A small glass table at the end of the tub with some glam items on it, or a large black basket with rolled towels .

I see where everyone is going with color, but I have to say I love the beige!(I have an ivory and white bathrrom) IMHO, what it is lacking is more personal items. Bath mats, nicer towels (Towels neatly folded and stacked on the shelf, for that spa feel) (You can get those cheap at Marshalls, TJ Max etc. Curtains with a texture or pattern, maybe a plant or two. Take your time with these changes because even if you do nothing at all,that is OK because this is a REALLY NICE bathroom as is.

You have probably already made our bathroom fixes, but the ceiling is a oft overlooked surface. Try a pale blue or even a silver if you want a little sparkle. Your mirrors are not necessarily too small, but that there is too much wall space in between. Rather than replacing them, consider a large piece of artwork or another large mirror in the center.

I agee with other commenters that the towel hooks look messy are are crowding the tub, is there another location.

It looks like everything is sleek and clean - so your whispy window treatments are out of place. Consider white plantation shutters. www.smithandnoble.com has reasonably priced custom fit shutters.

Definitely add cabinet hardware.

Chandeliers can be very expensive, I'd try some othe these quick fixtures before you make more major investments.

Don't put too much into - if your kids are anything like mine they will probably ruin it in a few years!!

I think your room is gorgeous. Like said it's missing the personal touches. Maybe a splash of color here or there.

I like the idea of a chandy and sconces on either side of the sink mirrors. I could see really gorgeous venetian mirror something glam for you over the makeup vanity. Some pretty accessories.

Maybe some inexpensive bamboo shades over the windows to add to the warmth.

But overall it's stunning and something to be proud of.
