Hi, I've been thinking about your floor plan since I first saw it and I think it looks nice. I love your stairs. I too thought furniture placement would be difficult with the bathroom door in the middle of your best wall for a dresser. I tried moving your bathroom wall to the left a couple feet. Your bedroom seemed very wide, especially not having room on that wall for furniture. Then I put a linen closet to the left as you enter the bathroom. This allows you to move your bathroom door so that you have wall space for a dresser. The door to the bathroom would then open up against the linen closet. That door would take up 30 inches when open, so you need to have it clear the tub. Unless you do a pocket door. I think I would like a pocket door going to your MB closet. My mom's bedroom was similar in size and it looked great. She also had a chest to the left of the bay window if your room has the length and you move the windows a little. I reconfigured the 3 rd bathroom, now accessible to office too. You also have a linen closet in your much larger hallway at the top of the stairs, which also helps to lengthen the wall in your bedroom for a piece of furniture. I like Mongo's idea of bookshelves on bedroom 4's wall, unless you decide to take that 8 or 10 inches and add that to your bedroom and move the BDRM 4's closet further into that bedroom. You gain you an extra 10 inches in your bedroom! It is probably a very good idea to use graph paper and cut out pieces of scaled furniture and chairs to see how every thing fits.

The walls will have ceramic tile. ...What is "coved"? The walls are going to be removed, so the plumber can easily install a wall-mounted facet. From the flat wall, coming toward the center of the sink, how far does the faucet need to reach in? ...Does the facuet lenght need to stop before or after the drain hole? ...How high should the faucet be above the counter top? The Kathryn undermount sink comes in two sizes. The first is Exterior dimensions: 23-3/4"L x 15-5/8"W Interior dimensions: 21-3/8"L x 13-1/8"W The second is: Exterior dimensions: 19-3/4"L x 15-5/8"W Interior dimensions: 17"L x 13"W Would this be too small for a useable bathroom sink for washing hands, faces, and brushing teeth? Also, Kohler offers a deeper (4 1/2 inches) 17x13 Katheryn sink without the overflow holes. Would this work in the bathroom? If I mush have overflow holes, I want them installed so you don't see them when you stand at the sink. I'm so glad I already purchased the toilet!

I had the exact same problem. I picked out the vanity I wanted but did not think about the fact that it wasn't made to sit flush against the wall. I spent a month looking for something else, but in the end we decided to go with something shorter and have it not be against the wall. But we were going from 72" to 60" which is probably not workable in your mom's situation. I did find a lot of vanities that did have flat sides and could work in a corner, if you are willing to have the countertop fabricated. They just need to not have any trim detail on the top or bottom like the one you picked out does. I would just look at the ones without the pre-made tops. Because the pre-made top will still leave you with a slight gap because of the countertop overhang. This is an example: Avanity Modero which is sold everywhere, not just at Lowe's. The cabinet we ended up buying is an Avanity Madison which won't work for you, but I assume it is of similar quality. We are pretty happy with it. The drawers and doors have soft close but I do feel like the glides in my Ikea kitchen drawers are better quality. It is very pretty and I wanted a stained wood so I am really happy with our choice. If I had been willing to go with a painted finish, I think we might have stuck with the 72" Modero.

If your grid is accurate and you are 1 sq = 1 ft, then you don't have enough room between the newly expanded shower and the wall for the enclosed w/c. Your diagram shows 1 ft. Also the pocket door won't fit as shown. Consider a wall between the toilet and the vanity without the rest of the enclosure if you are seeking privacy there. See how this wall between the vanity and the toilet serves to hide the toilet a little bit on these two pics below? This is a different layout, but similar concept for the dividing wall. In your space consider only having the wall right next to the vanity and not going over to the other side of the room. A wall to the ceiling would conceal the toilet area and not close in the room IMO.
