Sorry don't know anything about Samy products.

Perhaps if you asked some specific questions someone could help you out with other product info. Like what your hair texture is, length, what you use know etc. Everyone's hair doesn't respond to the same products the same way.

I was really just hoping for some general feedback or reviews.

I was surprised that the amount of people that have read my post versus the few replies.

Personally, I have been considering ordering the product that makes flat, thin hair full with volume in just a few seconds of Samy massaging the product into the hair. It's amazing.

Then, of course, they had another product (Not Samy) on this past week that was "microfibers" of powder that would attach themselves to your hair to create great volume!? I'm not really sue about that one.

If he’s not used to using product he needs something easy and something that does just enough. I would try him out on a spray wax. He’s hair won’t feel a lot different and it only takes a second to use. Brush or use fingers to arrange hair and give a light spray or as much as needed. https://www.amazon.com/Redken-Blast-Impact-Finishing-Ounces/dp/B00IYY0MY8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=redken+wax+blast&qid=1588298317&sr=8-1 I have finally got my husband out of the hair gel routine. He has short fine hair and the gel sticks it together. It is all so much nicer with wax spray.

I've been looking for a tinted lip balm--thanks for the Elf and Burt's Bees recommendations. I don't care for lipstick and only wear it a few times a year. I like some color, but I certainly don't need anything that lasts more than a few hours. After I drink/eat in public, I'm always prepared to reapply. I had a BB lip balm pre-Covid and really liked it. I have fine hair, and have been using a hair care line from my stylist that's very good but pricey. I ran out a few months ago, and it wasn't convenient at the time to get more. In a pinch, I bought this Pacifica Vegan Silk shampoo and the conditioner from Target. They are great products for my hair, and I now rotate them with the more expensive stuff from my stylist.

Virtue Hair Products Update #2

I was just reading about Dr. Burnett. His company KeraNetics developed a cream for skin damage after radiation treatment. That cream was FDA-approved. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/keranetics-announces-kerastat-cream-product-cleared-by-fda-for-radiation-dermatitis-301095930.html Since hair is dead, I doubt that products that claim to thicken the hair shaft need FDA approval. I don't know whether this innovative keratin protein Burnett claims to have extracted from human hair is better than any other shampoo that claims its proteins will thicken and smooth the hair shaft. But the bottom line is that if you're looking for hair growth, the products you're using don't seem to address that. I don't think their website makes it clear that their shampoo isn't what makes hair grow. It's minoxidil in their other product that does that. I think its a dubious claim that clogged hair follicles can trap new hair from emerging and that their shampoo has some special ability to cleanse follicles. I think any shampoo will clean your hair follicles. I think you may want to look into topical minoxidil, which has been in use for three decades and is in Virtue's other product. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6691938/

product to control hair static

Silicones (like dimethicone) do a great job at taming static, defrizzing and adding shine. Of course too much can flatten your hair, so I use a silicone shampoo (Pantene Smooth & Sleek), and a silicone-free lightweight conditioner (L'oreal Extridanory Clay for oily hair). My hair is very fine and I found that this combination give me the perfect amount. Tames frizz and static without weighing it down. Or you can use a serum that has silicone, like this. If you smooth a tiny amount over just the top layer of your hair, it should take care of the static w/o changing the overall amount of body.

I've never heard of the products so I don't have any info on them, but I was just curious about the comment you made.

"I was surprised that the amount of people that have read my post versus the few replies. "

I'm not trying to be rude or anything just curious as to how you know how many people have read the post?? I mean are you just guessing or is there a way to tell? Maybe I'm just missing something! :o)

Wanda - Sorry am posting so late to your question but just came upon this site. Tried Samy (the whole line) a few months ago but from my experience, it doesn't work any better than anything you would buy at the local drug store. To answer your question about the microfibers, they are not easy to work with. Tried that as well. After you do apply the product you have to worry that the powder doesn't drift down to your face. I would advise you to save your money.

I have tried the Samy products. I like them, after using them for a while your hair is in better condition. They used to make linseed oil volumizing ampules. They work great, but I can't find them any more. Does anyone know where I might get them? My hair is extremely fine and thin. They may have changed the product or discontinued it. It works magic on my hair, so I hope someone knows how to get it.
