I use latisse. I get a prescription from my dermatologist. It works but it is dreadfully expensive. Maybe about $150 for 2 or 3 months supply. The other downside is you have to use it every single night and cannot skip it when you just want to fall into bed. At least I follow the directions to do this as I am scared to waste this much money and not follow directions. You can also use it on sparse eyebrows so after I apply to my lashes I take the still wet brush and mush it on my brows. Takes 5 or 6 weeks to see results. I wonder if there is a cheaper, faster way albeit safe for the eyes. I recently had a spontaneous, yes, non traumatic corneal gouge(abrasion), right in the central part of the cornea.

Sunny Cottage after reading this thread when you posted it, I went right out and got my blonde brows and lashes tinted. I just wanted to use a pro the first time around and then if I liked it I was going to buy the kit and do it myself. I was not crazy about the results. I certainly had more than my God given color, but nowhere near what I have if I apply make up. It was nice to have at least some "eyes on" all the time since I rarely bother with make up. The problem is that after one week the dye was significantly lighter, by the second week it was really light, and by the third week it is basically gone. Definitely not enough return for the cost and aggravation of a trip to the salon. Also, since I rarely wear makeup, I rarely apply soap or make up remover to my "brashes". I was told that any cleaning products or oils removes the dye faster. I can only imagine how short lived the dye would have been if I'd been using make up remover every day! I'm going to get the dye to do it myself. Perhaps I'll find that worth doing. And maybe the repeated applications will lead to some kind of build up that will last longer. Just thought I'd throw my experience out there for anyone else that is new to the "brash dying". It may "last" a month on some people, but I'd say it lasted about two weeks on me.

I use this: Roux Lash & Brow Tint I've used other tint kits, but they've made my eyes burn terribly (which has also happened every time I've had my lashes professionally dyed). The Roux kit does not burn, and I find it very easy to work with - although I do have to be very careful to not let it drip down onto the applicator (I just use Q-tips) where I end up getting it on my fingers and it's a pain to remove. The kit does come with an "ooops" remover, and it works well if I accidentally get the dye on the skin around my eyes as long as I use it immediately. Anyway, using the Q-tips, I first apply the clear activating liquid (bottle #1) and let it dry for about a minute, then using a clean Q-tip I apply the dye (bottle #2) while looking into a lighted magnifying mirror. Super easy to do. After a few minutes, I either splash my eyes with water or gently wipe with a water-soaked cotton ball to remove any residue. For me, this is no fuss/no muss (unless I get it on my fingers!), doesn't burn, and is cost-effective. This is definitely a product I'll keep using. I'm able to do a much more thorough job than the professional ever did when I paid $25 (plus tip) to have her dye my lashes, and it's long-lasting too.
