If you are not moving, then Miele or Bosch stand head and shoulders above every other mfg in DWs. I have a TOL KitchenAid and it's a piece of plastic compared to M. However, I have odd-shaped dishware and really huge cookware, which simply did not fit well in European DWs (M at the time did not have the flexible tine system). If you are moving, stay away from GE DWs. They are THE WORST performing DW of all. Even if you move in 2 yrs, you will spend that time cursing them as you manually re-wash half the dishes you just ran through the DW cycle. Can you tell what brand I used to have, LOL? Stick with Whirlpool or Kenmore, purchased on sale.

I have a Thermador (made by Bosch) and its the best dishwasher I have ever had. Extremely quite. Cool blue light beam that projects on the floor to let you know the machine is on. Best of all there is a third shelf for silverware. No more bending and dealing with silverware baskets that have tipped over. Everything, including the plastic tupperware, is dry and very clean. Its pricey (fortunately mine came free with a stove), but I would highly recommend it.

Morz8 the handle does protrude all of my kitchen aid appliances have that handle, I actually love it and the little shot gun shell badges on the ends but I sure understand your point. But kitchen aid does have a line that has a sloped handle that only protrudes at the center and one that has no handle at all. I looked at all of them when I bought mine. I specifically wanted the ones with the bar handles. I imagine I may bump a hip a few times on it and the same one on my KA stove. I don't have the KA fridge but I have been looking at it. My GE profile survived the flood, after a $500 replacement part, and is working fine, but I am considering moving it to the sunroom and getting the KA fridge I have been lusting over lol.

I use my stove for general cooking and baking for my family of 5. I don’t need anything Extraordinary. I would like the option to have more than 4 burners and when we update our kitchen I plan to have a second oven somewhere. My current stove is 30”. Not sure if I should go bigger or not. I do not need a wolf or anything too expensive but if I am going to replace the stove before our kitchen upgrade I want to do it right. Ideally I would like to keep it under $2,500 if that is possible?
