Don't smoke or drink either. And there's no question that desert is a major food group! :)) I use Olivia Care Olive Oil Soap on my face and in the shower - love the Verbena scent and all those suds! In the winter I don't need moisturizer. I buy it at TJMaxx. For 20 years I've used a Buff Puff on my face. For facial moisturer Jergens Skin Firming Lotion. I've used several others that I really liked, and every time I ran out and went to buy more, they were discontinued or had added obnoxious fragrance. How exasperating! I don't like the strong fragrance in the heavier duty "regenerating" lotions. I find that smiling works best on the Howdy Doody lines - hate those things! Can't bring myself to lay out $20 for a tiny little jar so I guess this is it. Sherry

One thing you can do is get them tattooed. I had mine done about three years ago. They look very natural. Take your time in selecting the tattoo artist and make sure you see photos of other eyebrows she's done. Some artists are much too heavy handed and color in every speck of skin. Mine did more of a feathering treatment. The lighter the color, the more easily they will fade. Mine are a light brown. They faded dramatically in the first year and my artist redid them free. They still faded 50% but look OK. Next time, I'll go with a medium brown so they last longer. Another suggestion is to use eyeshadow instead of pencil. The eyeshadow can be applied with a thin, firm brush within the brows. It looks completely natural and soft and stays all day. Lastly, you can dye your eyebrows. Buy the dye at a beauty supply and dye your eyebrows darker than their natural color. It will appear as if they are thicker. Even with my eyebrows tattooed, I dye my eyebrows because I changed my hair color and I'm getting grey brows!

My mother did hrt for 25 years with no side effects...until she got lung cancer. Oncologist said it was not smoking related. (Mom lived with smokers all her life but never smoked.) There is a lung cancer that has estrogen receptors just as breast cancer does. So while I was suspicious of hrt before, I'm now very anti hrt because of the cancer risk which seems to be under-discussed. Interesting impact on her hair though...it was always bone straight until she hit menopause and it started to curl. Once she went back on hrt, her hair went straight again... Here's a shot of me, post menopause....

I wanted to do a quick update on this. My eyebrow thinning has been mostly resolved. I started using a Mary Kay brow serum but what I found is that I was rubbing my eyes when they were tired and I think that was causing the thinning. Since I became aware of rubbing my brows when I rubbed my eyes and starting using the brow serum my brows look so much better. Maddielee, I want to especially thank you for recommending the Elizabeth Arden brow powder. It fills in any leftover sparse areas and is so natural looking. It is a wonderful product and I am so glad you suggested it!!!
