I believe the denim cycle doesnÂt spin so much to reduce wrinkling in the denim material. However, most of the custom programs that reduce interim spin speeds or eliminate them all together will increase rinse water levels slightly to compensate for the lack of wash water removal. So donÂt worry, it rinses well all of the time. I find that a lot of thought went into these mastercare programs and I think they work very well. All of the programs work great but I will say I avoid the "Normal" wash selection. Instead I use "custom". When using normal the internal heater is inop, it will fill with the temp selected but thatÂs it, temps are even limited in this program, this being a basic wash program that helps It achieve its energy star rating. So use "custom", pick your temp, spin speed, options, then start. ItÂs the best way to do a basic wash I find.

Funny how differently we all see things, isnâÂÂt it? Natal wonâÂÂt wear jeans, and chooses capris as a more suitable look for her body type. She has said that no flat tummy = no jeans in her book. I think capris should be banned. LOL I donâÂÂt care for them on anyone. Most women end up looking stumpy in them, and clearly most of them never see themselves from behind or in full-length mirror. I figure something that doesnâÂÂt even look good on a size 0, 6 foot tall model, shouldnâÂÂt be ANYWHERE near me! Then there is my mom, who wouldnâÂÂt be caught in either one! She believes that she is too short (and at 5 ft tall, I would agree) to wear capris, and she thinks jeans are for farmers. I was never allowed to own a pair when I lived at home. But that is what makes fashion, and the world, interesting, isnâÂÂt it? It certainly would be a pretty boring place if we all wore the same thing.

Have you tried another cycle besides Normal? Maybe Darks/Colors, which uses "low to medium speed wash action". You can also add the Stain Treat function to the D/C cycle and set the Soil Level to Light - this should give you a short main wash ( -> little agitation) due to the Light Soil Level, yet maintain a proper cleaning result, due to Stain Treat. Just a thought... BTW: Fisher & Paykel just released their version of the Oasis in Australia and New Zealand. It has a dedicated Jeans cycle. Unfortunately, the manual contains very little information about what the Jeans cycle actually does... "JEANS can be responsible for damaging other items in the wash. They should be washed separately, and require their own specific wash action to get clean. ThatÂs why we [Fisher & Paykel] have created a special cycle specifically for JEANS. The cold wash temperature helps reduce loss of colour and the fast spin ensures that your jeans will dry quickly." Alex

Great idea about the liquid dye in dark loads. I did put my darkish green jeans in a basin with hot water & a lot of bluing. Left them for a few hours, rinsed them out & then did a final rinse/soak with vinegar. The water was clear when I dumped it out it which was good. They are now dry & I must say they are several shades darker. Sort a a dark teal which is more what I wanted. mamapinky when you said "Rite" did you mean Rite Aid? I would like to get some.
