Gean and Kippy: I'm so glad to hear how things have gone for 'Betty'! I totally approve of her move to a warmer climate - just as my own 'Betty' had to be given away to someone who had a good place for her. I hated watching her (and the other two) decline slowly - it was as if I were torturing them. Gean, I looked for you at Open Garden this year, although I know that you and your family were on a special trip to various places that time. It's good to hear from you! There is a very different take around here about the Navy guys Patti...LOL (I live in a town with a Navy Base.) The guys around here get fatter..because they are lazy...so says the Few Marines, Army and Air Force guys also attached to this base...Quite frankly as soon as they make Chief ...there bellies swell...LOL But many of my friends husbands come back off a ship deployment having lost weight...there is nothing to do but work out....within a month or so of returning home they are back to their "comfy" weight.. Um he could actually be thinking of an Egg Drop soup..when done right..the egg does appear to be thin noodles...and it's basically a chicken broth.

Hello again, everyone, If someone wants to haggle, say that you feel that, rather than putting the stuff at the roadside with a "Free" sign, you put a lot of work into setting up, the price is quite low, and that if he's unhappy with the price as marked ... ... that you've found that Good Will offers a decent/higher price on a receipt. As for putting the stuff into some agency's yard sale ... you have to do about as much digging, sorting, dusting, washing, pricing and packing into boxes to go to another sale as to set up for one of your own, don't you? Stainless looks good in certain settings, more in a professional kitchen. I haven't seen many kitchens in houses that truly looked professional no matter how hard they have tried to imitate. Most of the time it looks kind of silly to me. For me, almond or bisque seem the most functional all around but I like black appliances and darker countertops. I don't like all white. Looks to scream "Habitat for Humanity" to me. With the exception of a true retro 1930s to 1950s kitchen look, then white is fine. Although some of those old colors were great. I actually liked the 1960s "coppertone" (dark brown) color. That had a real classy look IMO.
