I painted oak cabinets like that in my mother's house before I sold it. There was no tannin bleed because the cabinets were properly sealed to begin with. It isn't raw wood that you're dealing with. That's more of an issue with unfinished wood. It was a ton of work but it came out great. I don't put much stock in the "out of style" question either. A raised panel door is a traditional look that keeps coming round. The dark look of the original oak becomes a nice white enamel and brightens the room. The oak grain remains as evidence that the door is solid wood and not particle board or MDF. It comes down to time and budget. For the painting to work you have to do a lot of degreasing. Don't sand away the original finish. That's ruinous. Dull the original finish to help the primer. Multiple topcoats. If you aren't solid with your prep and technique don't bother.

This is such an interesting discussion. I have naturally fairly thick dark brows and I'm glad that I was never pressured into the severe plucking that was more fashionable a while ago (maybe 10 years ago?). I never apply any makeup or color to my brows, but I do a slightly angled upward brush on them and then use a finger on top to smooth the top back into a smooth curve. Sometimes if I don't give them a brush, the hairs get a little askew and giving them a quick brush seems to help them have a little more natural arch. I had to google microblading and that sounds very interesting and like an interesting option for those that have lost too much eyebrow and want something that doesn't wash off daily. At the same time, I do think genetically there are different types of eyebrows and many people with naturally light or delicate eyebrows look so lovely just as they are. I think the example @User posted is a good one where the woman looks lovely with her "before" natural eyebrows. When I googled microblading, this photo from a makeup line came up. To me this is a good example where the woman's natural delicate coloring and features work well with her natural delicate eyebrows (though they could use a quick brush to lay smooth).

I know the putty threw me off in the name but the putty is squalane which is an oil and it's infused in the cream. It helps makeup stay in place and there are other benefits to squalane also. It's actually thinner than a bb cream but gives better coverage, and because it goes on white somehow I still had the same color skin. BB creams come in different shades. The exceptional coverage is like foundation but not at all heavy. The trick is using a flat concealer brush swiping back and forth, up and down until those pores, bumps, etc. are covered. I watched some videos and all the womeb them were using their fingers and covering their whole face at the same time. I was proud of my flawness nose, especially looking into a x10 magnifying mirror. lol I covered every bad flaw one at a time. Use less a tiny bit at a time & keep blending until you're satisfied. I had the dewy look I've been wanting but never found the perfect product. My eyelids looked at least ten years younger with hardly any crepe or under eye wrinkles.

Due to my systemic mastocytosis (a form of mast cell disease - SM is very rare and is responsible for many of my other health issues), I have never been able to use mascara/eye liner/eye shadow because they all cause eye irritation (I didn't know that was the cause until 2017- I just knew that my eyes would be irritated after use). Luckily, I have naturally long/dark eyelashes + people think that I'm wearing eyeliner even though I don't ever. I also still have pretty nice eyebrows - I never did the 90s over plucking (plus I'm half Italian - I think that helped with my eyelashes and eyebrows). However, I decided to try Latisse back in 2011 or so (who doesn't want even longer/fuller eyelashes???!!). After about three months, I noticed that my eyelids had a bit of a reddish brown tint. I confirmed that it was a potential side effect of using Latisse - so, I stopped using it and my eyelids turned back to normal skin color after a few months. I have a Chem Engineering undergrad degree (originally, I wanted to go to med school - but then I wasn't sure - so, I switched from Human Biology to Chem E just in case I didn't go to med school - and then wound up attending law school instead). So, I started doing some research related to Latisse (bimatoprost). I learned about side effects related to the use of bimatoprost for glaucoma. Most of these side effects were not disclosed related to using Latisse. Bimatoprost belongs to a class of medications called prostaglandin analogs (PGAs). The side effects of PGAs are significantly risky + they extend far beyond the minor side effects acknowledged in marketing materials. From "panda eyes" (darkening of upper and lower eyelids), itchy, red, dry eyes to permanent iris color changes to significant orbital fat atrophy. This condition, often termed prostaglandin-associated periorbitopathy (PAP), results in a sunken, hollowed, or aged appearance around the eyes. There is also potential thinning of eyelid skin + periocular muscle atrophy and weakness = upper eyelid ptosis (drooping). I know someone who had to have surgery to address the atrophy related to her right eye muscles. MANY products sold on Amazon (+ at other retailers) as lash/eyebrow growth serums also contain PGAs. My sister was using one that is pretty popular (I can't remember the name). I read the ingredients - and told her to stop using it - unless she wanted permanent changes (many of which not only age a person's appearance, but can have life altering effects). While using these type products on your eyebrow area could prevent some of the side effects - there is still PAP and periorbital muscle atrophy/weakness that has occurred + skin discoloration. Sorry for the long comment. This is just a subject that is very upsetting to me. I believe that I have dry eyes as a permanent side effect + I had to do a lot of eye muscle exercises in order to strengthen my right eye muscles (I still do them now - but on both eyes just to keep the muscles strong in order to prevent drooping eyelids).
