Pam, If you're using the polycarb ridge cap with the same kind of corrugations as the panels, you need to screw it down like the sheets. Or, you can just buy lengths of galvanized steel ridge and screw it to the corrugations and use filler strips to plug the spaces in between. I've used a vented ridge cap on some applications too. It allows hot air to escape through non-leaking vents in the pieces. Easy way to crawl on the structure is to cut a piece of 3/8" OSB to just short of where the ridge edge will go. Build a "stop" out of 2X that'll screw onto the top plate or exposed wall studs to hold the OSB. Screw that to the OSB. Ladder up to the platform and lay the pre-drilled cap in place. Come down and move the structure down the wall 4'. Don't forget to orient the seams away from the prevailing wind. Seal them with some silicone. Depending on the pitch of the roof, you may have to put some thin battens on the OSB sheet to keep from slipping off, or losing a drill...

Maybe you have a natural talent for decorating. If you don't need to remove your imprint on a house to sell it, that's really great. There are "period" houses that look better decorated. There was a discussion on this forum several months ago about whether to neutralize the decorating of an old Victorian style house. The consensus was that the people who would be interested in a Victorian would expect it to look a certain way inside and neutralizing would be counter-productive. And similarly, people expect a certain style of decorating in a cabin. However, getting $10,000 over the asking price in a hot market was probably more about the hot market than the interior decorations.

After they've seen the aftermath (and during-math, if that's a word) of a bad and/or dysfunctional relationship, they need to see what a good one looks like. They will learn from that example more than any talk. That doesn't mean you have to be perfect or that you can't even disagree. But, as I've said before, kids need an example of both how to love someone AND how to deal with a disagreement. Now, I'm definitely not saying that you should have a make-out session on the couch when they are there. But a short but sweet kiss or cuddling on the couch while watching a movie or even an affectionate nickname will show them that you are happy together and secure in your relationship.

In 2002 when we remodeled the kitchen (with the help of the GW Kitchen Forum) the holy grail of granite cleaner was a "homebrew" of 50/50 alcohol/water/. Some say you don't need that much alcohol but I like the smell :) Clean with a microfiber cloth and buff with a dry microfiber cloth. I clean most everything in my kitchen with this mixture. Soap will over time dull due to build up. It will take a while and depending on your granite, you might not noticed it as much as on other granites. I use Granite Gold as a polish after cleaning. The absolute BEST polish (imo) is Black Diamond's Granite Polish Preserver. I've never found it in a store. You have to order it on line. I need to order more. Love how slick it makes my counters. I put my hot pans on my granite and have never had a problem. Some say you can and some say don't.
