Yes, pieces of wet mortar fell onto the drop cloths, we accidentally stepped on them and then stepped onto the pavers. A lot. There are a lot of white spots on the pavers now. I tried the BBQ wire brush, but it isn't stiff enough I don't think. I will try getting a stiffer bristled one. Thanks!

Cut out all the grout connecting the affected tiles first. Grout transfers vibration and hammer blows to other tiles and will crack them. Best way i have found to do this is to use clear packing tape and completely cover the bad tiles.... then tap them with a hammer several times and all the pieces will stay put and don't go flying everywhere. Lift the tape up and the tile will come up with it. Then I usually use a 5in1 painters tool to scrape off the thinset. Still wear safety glasses.

I had this attitude too from a hot tub store! Jacuzzi was soo accomodating. So when shopping I thought they were all like that. Asked one place about a ' wet test' (which Jacuzzi offered to buy us bathing suits as we were far from home, and offered to switch the hot water to any tub we wanted). The other place said no to the wet test. And the 1 hot tub that had water in it would have been like (to quote the salesman) "test driving an escalade when buying a fiesta" Needless to say, we bought from Jacuzzi. Which isn't cheap, but we got a great deal (bought a red tag special display model...they actually sold it on us and ordered us a new one...in our prefered colour). When that other company called to follow up, my dh told him we bought the Jacuzzi. Which they weren't expecting. As you know...we were only buying the Fiesta. Lol. Lots of stores will welcome you with open arms and be glad for your business. Hopefully you never have to go there again!

Try this recipe it works! I found this DIY cleaner on here and here and it is fantastic because it works! Here's the recipe: 8 oz. (1 cup) of warm vinegar 8 oz. ( 1 cup) of Dawn That's it! I put the vinegar in the microwave for about two minutes to get it warm. Then mix the vinegar and the Dawn in a spray bottle. One cup of Dawn seems like a lot to me, but I guess you need that much to cut through the scum. It makes sense. If it can cut through grease and baked on food, it should be able to cut through yucky shower scum! I sprayed the Dawn and vinegar mixture on the glass and scrubbed with a sponge. I really didn't have to scrub hard or for very long. That stubborn stuff came right off! I had a bucket of clean water to wipe off the soap suds. When I was done, there still seamed to be a little bit of residue on the glass so I just used the glass cleaner I usually use to give the doors a final wipe. Now my shower doors look as good as new!
