The NG/Liability may mean that if the unit explodes after you convert it to natuarl gas, they don't want to hear about it. However, I suspect, depending on your state consumer laws, that if any mishap or injury that occurs that can be traced to a manufacturing or design defect could be assigned to Virco as a liability, regardless of what the paperwork that accompanies the kit says. I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice. Virco also would have no control over faulty natural gas building lines or extensions, so maybe this is what they are most concerned about, as well as improper kit installation. I think there is more danger in going from a natural gas setup to a propane setup, however, as propane packs 2.5 times the BTU's per volume as natural gas, and it's at a lot higher pressure, so if you hood up propane to a unit set up for natural gas, you can wind up melting it down or worse.

Better late then never -- 1-800-770-9769 I cleaned all the S/S with simple green to remove any oils and then fired it up and bot it good and hot (600) cooled it down and cleaned it again. Good luck and enjoy

I am planning on getting the Virco and the costco conversion kit. Will I need anything else to buy to get this to work in NG. We bought a new house and it has NG valve outside already but will I need to buy a quick disconnect hose or does that come with the kit. We are putting the grill very close to the outlet so only about 3-4 feet of hose is needed. If I do need to buy one, who has the best price on a quick disconnect hose?

Oh my - I did not mean to scare you all! It functions beautifully. I am just neurotic about having everything look nice. It will never look brand new once you use it. Yes, all the drippings fall into the pan which cleans perfectly. You have to keep in mind that I never cleaned an outdoor grill before. DH did that. I like everything to look perfect. The top of the range and the ovens clean so easily and always look good as new. The grill will have black marks on the grill portion that I can't get off which bugs me. I'm probably unrealistic in that area.
