Hi, Call Webber's 800 # in the front of your book. The regulator needs to be reset and they will walk you through it. I had the same problem and had the instructions written down. I gave my Webber away last year along with the book and can't remember the steps required.

Hey Everybody! I know the lot of you haven't been able to sleep over this so I thought I'd fill you in. First off, as usual, I was saying one thing and meaning another. The grill was really, really, greasy. A soaking in straight simple green and a green scotchbrite pad cleaned up all the grease quite nicely. The outide of the grill looks like new (many envious manly men types at the bbq yesterday). What I meant to be saying all along is that the CARBON build-up is what I'm trying to clean off. The three day soak in simple green didn't do anything to it. I'm talking a 1/4" thick layer of hard baked on carbon on the the grates, the burners on everything inside the grill. Just like the top of a piston in an old V-8... Someone earlier suggested a grinder...well, I took your advice. I was able to acquire a cup brush with brass bristles for my 4.5" angle grinder. With the angle grinder I was able to clean off the grates, the burners, the inside of the grill pretty darn well. All the grates and burners came out looking almost like new, just a little blued from the heat. I actually wore the brush out almost completely...and I still have some more to go. The grill worked pretty well, not sold on the smoker feature. It just made a LOT of smoke for about an hour and then burned out. Love the two sear burners, they were handy for cooking the marinated chix breasts. this big grill does suck through a lot of propane and towards the end I had to switch tanks out because one was icing up and I lost pressure. All in all, $400 well spent I think. Mads

Times have changed with internet shopping...comparing prices, bulk orders, big savings but sketchy delivery practices. My parents lost every appliance except fridge during storm Sandy. Even their boiler and hot water heater. At 84 and 85 yrs old and having replaced only one at a time the last 50 yrs, this was a bit devastating for them. We spent a week helping with installation etc. They needed local human contact to guide them. Consistent delivery and a number to call. Sears delivered the wrong stove the day before x-mas and let them keep it for the holiday and was replaced the next week free of charge of course. He would never order internet or feel comfortable. My dishwasher was three weeks waiting with no return calls...dumped in the driveway and i was home at the time!...damaged and dented (tiny) but not on the visual face front. We installed to avoid the hassle of return and works fine but so frustrating. If ordering internet to save money, read all delivery print and ask questions repeatedly by phone. You will not get the service you have had in the past when you ordered locally. My fridge was delivered white glove by a very good local appliance store and old fridge removed. No stress and on time and on the day agreed. My washer/dryer was next day delivery from Lowes. Yes you can save a bundle but must be flexible. My neighbors did an e-bay nightmare and it was never delivered. It was protected but took a couple months to get money back...the seller did not have the item they were selling....listed and sold it over and over to take the cash hoping to stall the buyers for another stove in the future...even blamed the buyer for backing out of sale! My point is...do your homework and do not expect the white glove services of yesteryear...ask for it, demand it and you will be expected to pay for it. It is often included in your local suppliers delivery service. Ask lots of questions. Many stories here of appliances dumped on sidewalks.

Hi Lynn - We really do like the Turbochef. The "regular" oven is quite good, and I use that frequently. My favourite things to make in the speed oven are roast chicken (delicious and juicy in 25 minutes) and things like roasted veggies or fish. I can get home from work and have dinner on the table in 45 minutes, including all the prep. A couple of niggles. Because the temp settings on the oven are on a dial, to go with the retro design, you can't calibrate temperatures. For instance, if a recipe calls for 225F, I can only choose 200 or 250. The increments are more like an old-fashioned oven. So, for instance I don't have 225F, 275F or 475F. Now, I've never had a digital temp dial but I am assuming that I would have more room for calibration. The other thing is the cleaning. Even though it has a self clean feature I have been advised (by the folks at TC) not to use it. The ceramic plate gets quite dirty. One trick I learned about from this forum is to put 1/2 c of ammonia in a glass bowl and leave it in the oven overnight. The fumes break down the accumulated build up. Re: induction. I learned about induction through the appliance forum and while intrigued, I didn't want to fully commit, esp. as I had always envisioned a gas range. Plus DH really wanted gas (what is it with men and fire?) I love having both. The induction gives me a bare whisper of heat for super slow or low simmering, which I can't get with gas, and we have recently sarted using our gas grill more frequently with great results.
