Help? Sewing machine trolly/carrier?
Comments (3)Suz, taking your own machine to class is pretty standard. If you're taking the class at a sewing machine dealership, ask if you can use one of their machines. They sometimes have "classroom" machines available. Your's is not an unusual situation and dealers are able to accomodate. Or, if you would like to bring your own, ask if they would help bring it in from the car for you. Again, dealers are used to helping their customers. If you plan on taking more classes you could find a lightweight "travel" machine. That's what I did, as I prefer not to take my expensive machine out of the house. There are many rolling cases available, I bought a "Tutto", it's very sturdy and has lots of peripheral storage space. Though on the expensive side, but worth it, it's even approved to take as carry on for airplane travel. HTH, Todd...See MoreI need help finding instructions for a kenmore sewing machine
Comments (5)Does this (link at bottom) look like your machine? This website: http://www.sewusa.com/ has lots of great free info, and also sells manuals. They have posted dozens of threading diagrams for different model machines for free on this Threading Diagrams web page: http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Threading_Diagrams.htm I found the link (below) for the Kenmore 12 there. If the link below is not for your machine, you might find the threading instructions you need on their Sewing Machine Threading Diagrams web page. Comments (7)This site has a discussion about Japanese sewing machines being clones of American machines and why they usually hid their place of manufacture and how they named the machines... it may help you. Does your machine "look" like an old Singer? If so, this site has copies of old manuals. If yours isn't listed on this page, try browsing around the site. It has OODLES of old machines. And here is a third option, just email the folks at this site and send them absolutely all the info you have, and if you can, send them a picture - as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!...See MoreIndustrial sewing machine
Comments (10)Willing to answer any questions! http://pub.brother.com/pub/com/ism_manual/catalog/s7200a.pdf#search='Brother%20S7200A' not sure you have seen that, I tried to get to it from the brother site, and was unable to. The presser foot looks just like a regular square foot. There are no other feet available for this machine at the time. One note, I like to know everything about my machines, and my nearest dealer is an hour away, this machine is heavy, so there was no way I could run it out for repair easily, not to mention down time. (I sew at home for http://www.grampasgarden.com) So I emailed the tech person right at Brother, and he sent me free of charge the CD with the technician manual on it! I would take the material that you will be using right into your nearest dealer and try it out. What type of heavy fabric are you using 7-9 layers of? If I have something comparable, could try it out. I would think with the right needle, foot adjustment, etc, it should handle it, but don't know for sure. The table is roughly 19 1/2x 45 inches, I couldn't find my tape. There is a picture at the bottom of the PDF file. I love this machine for work, the only time I don't like it is when I am quilting, and want to do a decorative stitch, but I have a smaller machine if I really wanted to drag it out! Another note, this machine seems noisy, but I think it may be because I don't have the feet padded with a heavy felt to absorb vibration, and I'm not 100% sure it's level! Check out the pdf if you haven't seen it, and ask away!!! Lisa...See Morecountrygal68
