Round Trellis that covers pole?
Comments (8)They sell faux pillars for Georgian houses. Buy one at Home Depot, cut holes in it and put it around the supports. Or what about cutting holes in barrels and putting them around the pillars? http://www.lowes.com/pd_185736-52885-89489L_4294612837__?productId=3713922&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar:1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar:1&facetInfo= http://www.hayneedle.com/product/manhattantrellis.cfm http://www.gardenartisans.us/rosepillars.aspx Here is a link that might be useful: Amazon Cedar Obelisk Trellis This post was edited by edlincoln on Mon, Jan 6, 14 at 11:32...See MoreHow to cover up Basement ceiling insulation???
Comments (4)Hard to tell exactly what you want to do. You might as well finish it. If your walls are straight you can put furring strips up with drywall and a drop ceiling. Probably the cheapest and an easier way to go....See MoreBasement Pole Color

First I was thinking grey to have it blend in, then people made a good point about how white would make it so that people wouldn't run into it, now it seems like staining it would be the way to go. I'm going to be on vacation this weekend, so I'll be thinking about it- but right now I'm starting to agree with the recent posts that staining it would be the best. @magnaverde - I would like the space to have a cool, modern feeling. Its going to be a recording studio/music room with a big orage drumset, guitars, amps, etc. I googled some of the artwork you mentioned and I really like it. @oakleyok - Go Hokies. Here are two more pictures to give an idea of the space....See MoreCovering Uneven Asbestos Floors Basement
Comments (9)Yes asbestos. There is about 6 inches difference from the laundry room area of the basement, to the opposite wall in the back room. Nothing appears wrong with foundation, or crawl space. Thought is that it’s simply just how the cement was laid under tiles. A few suggestions given by the inspector(a retired contractor) and a separate contractor after seeing the rooms: 1: take out tiles, then start from scratch leveling breaking through the cement. 2: tile over the current tiles and live with the variation. 3: floating floor over the tiles, and then LVT. Lots to think about...See Moreblue_fastback
