We were all set on a Samsung CD FD until I read the terrible problems people have had with freezing coils. And over on Appliance Guru it seems that Sammy doesn't like to pay thier service folks and many don't work with Sammy anymore. Maybe these have all been resiolved, but I crossed them off my list. We're now looking at KA, but we're not buying anytime soon.

Same exact problem. I bought mine 8 years ago. A year ago I called a service man, he got it to stop ($200) after several visits (replaced sensors, mother board, etc.), and less than a year later, I'm having issues again. Top of the line. I am replacing it. After reading everything I've read here AND talking to others, this is the worse appliance out there. I wish someone would do a class action law suit...count me in! I called another service man and he said he won't touch it. He told me I could find someone to fix it but if I were smart, get rid of it and never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Of course I won't. I'm going to start shopping tomorrow. I just hope it holds up until I can buy another one (I have to ring the water build up from under the tray every few days). I hear there's a 6 week delivery wait and appliances are hard to get right now, refrigerators in particular...I'm not sure if this is true or not?

As I pointed out in your thread, the CD model will only project out about 18 or 20 inches. The KBFS22 model that I have is several inches deeper to there is more room freezer drawerr. With a CD model, the drawer will project out about as far as the larger door. >>>"Any negatives you have noticed with wire rather than solid freezer basket?"Had not given it any thought but, now that you mention it, I think a solid basket (inner drawer?) might hold the cold a bit better, as with a chest freezer. On the other hand, I think wire baskets may give better air flow for more rapid cooldowns and more even temps throughout the compartment.

Mine is like fourkids4us describes with metal tracks, but I've had mine since Feb. I can't see any wheels except the one in the middle of the drawer. Have you tried removing and replacing the drawer? Your manual might tell how to do this for cleaning. Obviously, the repair person did, though. I agree with craftlady that it looks like the drawer is not wide enough. However, since the drawer has been replaced, it sounds like it might be that the spacing between the wheels is too wide (assuming that the wheels are attached to the sides of the fridge, not the drawer). Is there any way to adjust the wheel on the right side so that it sticks out a little more? Good luck! I hope Samsung fixes this for you without any more hassles!
