That's a great spot - I drive past it each work day. One caution: if it rains a lot, as it has this past weekend, the area floods and the road is closed. While it has poured buckets the last two Memorial Day weekends, I think the first week in June is usually a bit better. Fingers are crossed. jenn, I wouldn't bother to reduce the milk or the amount, I think it's fine, but I don't think it would hurt to swap some milk with butter either. I often switch skim and whole milk, use milk instead of cream, evaporated milk in place of regular milk, etc. I do get a better texture in things like cream soups or ice cream with the higher fat alternatives, but in candy and baked goods I use whatever I have on hand. Things like Ann T's scones are better with cream, of course, but they are entirely acceptable with milk too. I think your cookies will be fine but I also don't think more butter is ever a bad thing. I used an electric Black & Decker scissor that I got during the Xmas holiday season at HD for less than $10 several years ago when I was preparing hundreds of milk jugs and 2Ls. Cut a slit in the container with a box cutter and finish with the scissors. Quick & easy saving my previously aching hand. Yes, small containers dry out quicker but use whatever works for you, adjusting watering needs. Small containers can be grouped in a larger container to slow down water loss. I used a big plastic container to manage 4" pots. Be sure to put holes in the top and bottom of the large container for air and drainage. When individual pots of sprouts were large enough I removed them only replacing in the large container if frost threatened.
