It's sure a great shot though, for my first glance I though it looked like gorilla on all fours. I agree---it looks like a Newfie though. Someone will me missing him.

I know people in Florida who breed Alaskan Malamutes and Siberian Huskies, and they do just fine. I've kept wolves before here in SC, and still have some Japanese Akitas, and those, too, are designed for an Arctic climate, but they do just fine as long as they have shade and plenty of cool water. It really appears to be some ape type animal. It back legs appear to be shorter making it sit back like an ape. The big strong shoulders,ape. BUT its hind legs are bent forward at the knees and I detect a long bushy tail.Closer examination reveals what appears to be a hairy dog ear.

Yep I was going to say definitely a Newfie! I have a friend that has 2, they are definitely on the large size an quite hairy!
