Well it's been a while, I have limited internet access these days, better pictures will come in the future when I dont have to use public computers.
These pictures are from my 11 day trip from April 27-May 7th... our plan was to just herp Florida but some how we managed to spend time in GA, TN, and NC as well. Trying to ID all the desmognathus species we found has been driving me crazy!!
The first place we stopped in TN was a fluke, there had been multiple tractor trailer accidents in the fog and the interstate was shut down for hours. In an attempt to get around it we took a one lane dirt logging road through the moutains and came across a nice stream. Where we found a variety of salamanders including this Red Salamander, which I though was a Black-chinned but it appears to be a little out of range.

We then headed to the ANF for a few days, heres me with the first corn snake I've ever found

Here I am with a nice sized corn found at Paynes Prairie
{{gwi:1370004}}
I have to say there ALOT of DORs in that area including many along the ecopassage, mostly Cottonmouths and Banded Water Snakes but there were quite a few corns and yellow rats as well.
This little guy was a nice surprise, also a lifer for me

From here we went to Okefenokee Swamp where we found the most amazing herp of the trip a Two-toed amphiuma !! at night in the rain using a spot light, unfortunatly my attempt to catch it for photos failed and I just ended up getting soaked. I did manage to get some good video photoage of it though.
We then spent some time looking for salamanders in northeast GA and NC in the Smoky Mountains.
Sorry for the small pictures but they are all I have for now,
