Yes Hubby said it is a small driveshaft.... UPDATE......Hubbvy tried like heck to get it to run so after several days Local small engine repair got it running good for only $30 If known that he would not have wasted so much precious time..... They said was the linkage and recleaned carberator... so that like 4 time its been cleaned.... and adjusted the rpms.... I asked Hubby why he did not ask them to sharpen blade while they had it for only a day.... Duh ...cause his grinder is not here at this house.... ah well nobody is perfect esp Me.... LOL Now hope old place neighbor can find the self propelled parts.... cause in this little town. there is a guy who rebuild or finds starters... works out of his garage... nice guy. will try to post about forth coming parts... I have not tried to start yet... I am not as strong as used to be... Its heck getting old... thats why I need an electic start on this old Orange mower... the hybrid Thanks jean

I have to laugh at Natteringninny's solution because I once managed a Radio Shack that sold a remarkable number of those devices to teenagers and also because I remember the cover that graced one issue of Organic Gardening during the too short leadership of Mike Mcgrath. Visualize all the various garden varmints in various stages of panic, when having tripped that motion sensor they are greeted by the dulcet tones of the voice of conservative radio, Rush Limbaugh, at full volume! As for answering your simple question - yes bullfrogs are native to your area, but you specifically stated that you BOUGHT the animal from a pet store. This fact ALONE supports my original statement - it is ILLEGAL to release pets into the wild. If you bought it, its a pet and its ILLEGAL to release it into your pond. I have a good number of friends and contacts in MI and your actions would fall under that category. Maybe I should give them a call for you? Bullfrogs have a huge range throughout the United States and Canada, and you have no idea where that animal you bought in the pet store came from - do you REALLY think a bullfrog from Florida will do well in Michigan (or vice versa)? Also, by it being in the pet store, you have no idea what other animals it was exposed to or what pathogens it might be carrying that it could pass on to native populations of bullfrogs (dendrobatidus chytridmiosis) or rana virus. Do you homework, have an open mind to listening to what others say even if it doesn't fit into your plans, and think about your actions before you take them. ~Mike Excellent! :)

It's been a while since I read the Skippy site so I went back to see what if anything it said. Sure enough, it had suggestions. See below. Of course a lot depends on the amount of stuff that ends up in the pond and how much filter material you have and how much water is being pumped. Mine often depends on the mood of the local raccoons. No two ponds are ever exactly alike. Remember, this hobby has variables. I have 1,000 gallons in the pond, a 100 gallon Skippy and a 1582 gph pump. I use a separate small pump for a UV light. Sometimes I hook up a floating skimmer which is pretty much a waste of money unless I can figure a way to make it more useful. One of these days I will make the pond bigger because the fish are getting huge. I may just add a couple more Skippys to make a bunch of catch basins for waterfalls. Actually, using the S.A.G. approach (Smart As_ Guess) we think the following will work: Updated as we have found these filters to work better than even we expected... 70 gal size filter at least to a 2000 gallon pond size 100 gal size filter at least to a 3000 gallon pond size 150 gal size filter at least to a 4500 gallon pond size If you need a larger filtration system, we now suggest that you build two 150 gallon size filters. Worst case: If you built a filter so small that it did not work for your pond, you could just build another and connect it to the first one and double the capacity of the filtration process. Or, add another in a different area of your pond, doubling the filtering capacity and adding more circulation."
