(you could probably go back & edit each photo & give them a number, for less confusion)... from the top an Opuntia, looks too plump for O. microdasys, so hard to say Tephrocactus articulatus v. papyracanthus perhaps a Rebutia ~you may have to wait for flowers to get ID a Mammillaria ~I thought elongata, but yours has hooked central spines, so not that could be Polaskia chichipe, but not sure an Opuntia a Coryphantha or Mammillaria a Mammillaria Agave ~look for an ID from GermanStar =) no idea, maybe an Echinopsis ~could be way off, though baby Agaves-wait for them to grow some

Oh! Thanks, I've shown these to several people and everyone, like myself, has been stumped. I know nothing about falconry and training raptors so idk if it's normal that I didn't see anyone anywhere near when I saw this "hawk". No one around except for the other bird that's in a few of the photos, and a few smaller birds that looked to be mobbing either this bird or the other large bird, idk, I Wonder if this bird might have been lost?? Well, as luck would have it our local tile guy has a wonderful selection of, well, tile. I stopped in there and have chosen.... drum roll...... carrera 12x12 porcelain tiles by American Olean. Very lovely and work beautifully with the pebble tile, paper and the paint colors. He's coming out Saturday to measure and we'll order and hopefully there will be a functioning, beautiful shower by mid-July. I am so much more excited by this than by the surround, which I was not at all excited by but rather resigned to by the lack of grout cleaning. But this stuff needs little grout and it's way higher on the aesthetic scale than the fiberglass surround, obviously. Maybe it serendipity that the dumb thing didn't work out? I even get to incorporate some pebble tile into the shelf nook that we're building in... thank you to the GW'er that suggested that idea! Good good. It'sall: looks like you have 12" tile, too? I like it. Thank you and everyone else for taking the time to help me get this sorted out.

Haha Mike, one of my greatest follies was in planting a few Port Orfords-these were 'Oregon Blue'-both at my son's house in SE Wisconsin-which actually might make it-but more hilariously, up at my dastardly cold tree plantation location in Z4. Couple that foolishness with the winter we had two winters back, and well, can you say toast? The little guy at my son's though, while damaged in that same winter, has reformed a leader and seems off and running. Will be interesting should it actually survive for a while. A most delightful plant in my scheme of things. +oM
