caminnc...I do love that tile..it doesn't look green though...maybe it's my computer..unless its similar to an olive green? Can you direct me to the manufacturer of this tile? I think something like this would be nice....maybe in subway pattern, or is that too traditional for the granite? Also, folks, I do have another question that I was debating starting another thread for but will try and see if I can get a response here.... I have 10 ft ceilings...my cabinets will stop about 2.5 feet from the ceiling. I also have a range hood that has a 2" gap on each end between cabinets (in other words, the range hood will not touch cabinets on each side of it, but will have about 2 inches of space before cabinets start. My question is I'd like to run the tile behind the hood; however, when people do this they run the tile to the ceiling...I can't nor do I want to because my cabients will stop before the ceiling. Will it look ok to run the tile to the top of the cabinets and hood? Also, how does one attach a range hood to a wall covered in glass tile??? Thanks!

Kswl, I usually end up not taking pictures of people that interest me and regret it. I have strong memories of those un-taken pictures. When we were in Puerto Rico a few years ago there was this young women at the bus stop with very strong classic American Indian features and she wore what looked like colorful rags sewn together. The expression on her face was so detached and distant. During this trip we were in a small village where I came upon a very elderly lady that seemed to be dressed in old fashioned mourning clothes. She was sitting on a bench with a pile of leather bound books bent and reading. The only color was her two mismatched knee high compression hose stockings in bright opaque. Both of those un-taken pictures really told a story and would have been great fun to try an paint. I'm going to try hard not to ignore photo opportunities that inspire me in the future. Sounds like your architecture pictures inspires you. Have you had any framed for your walls?
