I saw a hawk in my backyard the week before Christmas - I am not sure what kind he was, because it was snowing pretty hard - he looked grey to me but it might have been the snow. I am thinking an immature red tailed or sharp shinned, but it is only the first time I saw him, and I have not seen him since. Anyways, in the past I have heard a bird in my yard that sounded almost like a gull, and today I heard the same call, and when I looked there were two hawk-like birds circling - any idea which kind of hawk may sound similar to a northeastern ohio parking lot gull?
