I also poke through the assorted rose forums and the dahlia forum. Sometimes the Gardening in Canada forum. The aquarium forum is OK if you are into fish (I am) but it is VERY SLOW. I have also been known to peek into the harvest forum and seed saving and seed starting.(the tomato forum definitely the most fun I think.)

Anybody else a multiple forum lurker?

I peruse a bunch forums daily. Some are slower than others(often depending on the time of year), but all are informative.

That is true when you look at it from the first post and I was going to let it go with my first post until she came back with an attitude, blaming someone else for her actions and changing her story to a native story to get herself off the hook. That is when her dumbass honesty went right out the door. Then the others pile on. Glad C3D ended it with the truth about euthanasia. I'm with you Z-Chick on the instant brain death method. She really would have faired better if all that 'support' didn't show up to aggrevate the situation. Who am I to judge her - nobody. I've cleanly killed plenty of animals and that IS hypocritical from a death standpoint. I am sorry but I could not let it pass because she was killing a hapless creature and looking for congratulations. She faired FAR BETTER than the frog and we all know she will do the same thing again - she said so directly. She will control her pond against nature. Wait until the first snake shows up, or raccoon, or heron...... If anything - other posters will learn not to be such dumbasses but I don't believe it will stop them from posting to learn. This person was not posting to learn. I am done with it (I hope) unless another dumbass pops up (and then this dumbass will jump right back into the thick of it). Not much more I can say to the original OP however - as I shredded her actions to the maximum already (good, bad or ugly as it may have been). The 'plant boy bring it' was hysterical BTW. Good thing you said that because that post hit about 3 major nerves for me and I did hold back. Anyway - who wants to lay down money that thread is not done:-)

The Hypertufa forum was the first forum that I found that was of great interest to me, and I lurked there on and off for a couple of years. But I never felt comfortable posting there. But then one day I was doing a search, and ended up on the Garden Junk side, and those people were REALLY, REALLY nice, so I started reading posts there, and discovered the Mosaics/Stained Glass, and BOOM! I found my home!! I was so impressed that I joined and posted within a day or two. I posted a few times on the Garden Junk - and really like it there, too, but I just don't have enough time to really keep up there, too (I work full time). And since my true love is mosaics...this is truly the place for me. I also recently joined the garden art forum that NT mentioned, talk about a GREAT group of talented people - wow! I've been dabbling in concrete, and want to do more, and that is a great place for inspiration and knowledge. I haven't introduced myself or started posting there yet - but soon!! I joined a couple of other mosaic sites, but I don't really check them out that often. Of course, you can't top the people here, AND I like the way this site works better than the other ones. I just need more TIME to do all the things I want to do!

I have found valuable information in quite a few forums, including the home forums (lighting, flooring, recipe exchange) tropicals, hydrangeas, day lillies, tomatoe of course, square foot gardening, Georgia gardener, container gardening, pests, harvest, herbs, peony's, seed exchange, seed and plant propagation, GREENHOUSE forum, one of my faves, roses of course, the list is long. Everywhere I have posted, I have gotten great information, support and advice. GW is just amazing, and I tell people about it every chance I get.

Well, since you asked, I am mostly a LURKER on this tomato forum...learn a lot here, thanks to all of you. I peruse many forums at GW, have even searched outside, but GW forums are the best.

My mainstay is the Florida Forum, and in winter months, I am an amaryllis addict so off to the Amaryllis/Hippeastrum Forum I go. The GW Forums have the most friendly info sharing people!!!

Another lurker here, as in reading of MANY of the other forums, on the Gardenweb AND on the HOME SITE side. I've explored easily over 50, but probably under 100 of the forums, usually I go there with a question in mind, do a search, and someone else has asked a similar question, or by reading some of the threads I'll get an answer from someone further explaining an issue.

It used to be I'd google first, then gardenweb, now I just pick a forum, search it, search the whole site, then google if I want more info. Garden Web is the way to go, I discovered it once after googling about houseplants, and have been grateful for that ever since!

I'm a lurker too. Visit a few religiously - more so than this forum...

to name a few. When were were doing our bathroom I lurked
bathrooms under the home forum...
When I was THINKING of doing some hardscaping in the yard -
stone wall, and such I lurked in the 'hillside gardening'
forum... we're in the middle of THAT project now...

Oh, and I lurked at the maple forum when a
microburst came through and lodged the neighbors 'carport'
into our house smashing windows and ruining my sweet Japanese Maple
(the significant other said I was more upset
about the maple than replacing the windows! alright, its
true!)... that all being said - I love GW. I don't know
why more people aren't using it - but I'm glad that I'm
able to learn so much from experts that normally I'd have
to be googling and searching for... LOVE IT!

I have to say that I've met people and established relationships
with quite a few people on GW - really great people wanting
to share and recieve information... It's a great little
community.

I mostly lurk here on the Tomato forum.
I'm a regular on the Rocky Mountain Gardening forum (my homies)
During the winter, I hang out at the Winter Sowing forum
Lately, I've been hanging out at the Harvest forum, since I am just learning to can
Other forums I visit with occasional questions, or if I have extra free time:
Vegetables
Perennials
I visited the Daylily forum once, but those people are serious addicts, LOL
There are a few other forums I've gone to for something specific, like Herbs, Shrubs, or Organic Lawn Care

I've found helpful people at all of the GW forums I've visited, some forums are just more active than others. I've noticed that every forum has a resident expert, and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way. Here it's Carolyn, Wintersowing it's Trudi, Harvest forum it's Annie and/or Carol, etc. Someone that's able to answer all of the difficult questions, refers people to the right resources for further info, and just seems to keep the forum going by their mere presence.

Lets see,,,,veggie gardening, organic gardening, 4 season gardening, california gardening, fruits and trees, figs, legumes, hot peppers (yes!), herbs and herbalism, harvest, edible landscaping......

A few I should visit but I am afraid to even go there...citrus trees and composting.
