They say it is weatherproof. I left it out one night when we had a light rain (didn't mean to). It did no harm, but the glass cover over the lens was wet so any pics would have been blurred. Oh yeah chipmunks will eat mealworms too, we had one that found the dish in our mealworm feeder once. That is why you don't want squirrels to get to a nestbox, they eat anything! Donna

I haven't seen the egg this morning, but with all those hungry babies moving around it's hard to tell. I think she's about to feed them a rat! One of the babies is getting large and more active. Those who have been watching longer than I have say he's about ready to move out from under her wings. As soon as all of them have their eyes open that box is going to get crowded!
