New Bird id please

I had to draw it. I'm no artist of course. The details are most notable that it had a perfect square on the lower back of this bird that was as bright yellow as the color of a golden finch. Just from memory I recall it being lighter black in color and possibly gray. He was here and then gone in a flash. The size of the bird in the drawing is the same size as the bird, actually.

Yep! You've nailed it. May I assume this is a very-uncommon bird for me to see?

I was thinking wood thrush when I first saw it. My bird book says wood thrushes are summer birds in my area (southeast Georgia), so then I thought maybe a hermit thrush? Its tail is a redish brown color. I am not very good at this lol, but at least its fun!

Now I'm not so sure...this bird is brown, not black and has no white on the wings or anywhere else that I can see. The tail is similar to a brown thrasher's. It does not fit the description on http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Yellow-headed_Blackbird/id

White crowned sparrows have been plentiful during migration this spring. We've had many reports here in MN and I had one in my yard the other day ... something I'd been hoping for the last 5+ years!

I am still fairly new to bird watching, but the warblers are going through their fall migration to South America, so it wouldn't be common as something you might see every day. I am not sure of the rarity of this type of Warbler. One of the more experienced birders on the site might be able to help you in that regard. I am just happy I was able to identify it for you!

Some info on Yellow-rumped Warbler from the Cornell website. In winter here they are abundant, sometimes making it difficult to pick out the less common warblers.
