Those are great photos..warblers are so tiny and fast-moving. The first one is a male Prairie Warbler, the next two photos, perhaps a juvenile Orchard Oriole

Thanks for the info. Would the juveniles be from summer of '08? I struggle with all the warblers.

Juveniles are mostly babies from the same season before their final adult molt. If the species is long-lived, such as an eagle or a sea gull, with several color phases, they are called "1st fall," "first winter," "2nd year," etc.

It's great how you have orioles coming to your house (sigh)-although I do regularly get one male Prairie Warbler at the feeder for a few days each spring.

I got new hummingbird feeders this year and the orioles loved them. This is the first year we had any stay to nest close by. There were at least 2 nests nearby. It is also the first year I had seen them as they headed south. For several days we had orioles on our hummingbird feeders continually. Here is a pic of the feeders. They are made by First Nature and come completely apart for easy cleaning.

Beckyw...such beautiful pics! I don't have orioles but I do have several First Nature feeders for my many hummers. Do you use the same ratio of nectar for the orioles? Love those FN feeders as they are so easy to clean.

Thanks so much. Yes, I use the same ratio. I put out oranges in the spring for the orioles but they ate from the feeders as well or better than the oranges and eventually deserted the oranges. But they do love those FN feeders.
