I'd recommend a Thermarest pad....72 x 25 x 2 if the weight and bulk aren't a problem. Or, if they are, consider trimming down to 1 1/2 inch for the thickness, and 20 for the width, if strapping 2 together for 2 people. I've found a pair of 72 x 20 x 1 1/2 ok for two of us, but I can't sleep on one alone (too narrow).

You may want to look at the Intex air matress.
It comes in a Queen size and a Flocked top.

We have two that we keep at our cabin in the mountains from Sportsman Guide.

I like it a lot better than the ones that Coleman has to offer.

They all leak some air if left inflated for long periods of time. The intex has a remote that can fine tune the bed and/or keep it inflated for an extended time.

Will you be using the air mattress for company at a campsite or at home?

We have several ThermaRest Camp Rest pads in StayTek and the standard nylon covers. On carpet, they're a comfortable sleeping surface you can adjust for the body "float" you like. In the campsite, they're the difference between a "campout", and "paradise" after a good night's rest for the next adventure. Remember that visitors are like fish, after a few days, they stink and you throw them out. ; )

Well, we use the aerobeds at my sons' home, and have no problem at all..you couldn't use them camping! We had coleman air mattresses and tossed them in the trash as soon as we came home. We just use the self inflating ones now.

I have two Ozark Trail and one Coleman air matresses. Have used them for 3 years without problems. (I did have to replace one Ozark Trail because my St. Bernard decided to drag it out of my storage shed one day while I was working in the yard.) I had used the self-inflating type before these and like the air matresses better. Have had no trouble with losing air.

We have a Montana 5th wheel and the mattress (ha ha) that came with it was AWFUL! We researched "sleep number" mattresses but didn't like the prices or the huge compressor that took up so much space. We found something similar called "Americana Bear Bed" for less money and free shipping. The only 2 differences were: "no numbers on the controller" and "2 separate compressors that hide inside the mattress". It's the best bed we've ever slept on and plan to get one for the house when we get home.

Unlike hollow air mattresses, inflatables like the ThermaRest type don't transfer the cold from the ground to the air in the hollow chambers and act as a heat sink from your sleeping bag. I would only use hollow inflatables for summer camping.

Aww, just take along some old heavy blankets and a good sleeping bag, and a nice pillow--drink 2 beers, or a hot toddy, go to bed and you'll sleep all night. No worry about the air mattress deflating on ya! Fold the blankets to make a pad under the bag.
Heck, if ya need an air mattress to keep ya comfy, then go rent a room in a motel, and stay there!
I've slept on the ground all over the world. The camping in France was a bit dangerous, but i survived it. The camping here in the states was a lot safer, but we survived that too!

I always put a sleeping bag on top of the air mattress then a comforter or another sleeping bag on top of me. Put the warmest sleeping bag you have below you and you'll be fine.

I always have two big blow-up canvas & waterproof airbeds whenever I go camping. I like to be comfortable, problem is inflating the airbeds being female and on my own?

If you are looking for the best home use air mattress I would recommend the Intex Supreme Air Mattress.

If you are looking for value, I would go with a Texsport, you can get one for about $30. If you want something better that will last you a bit longer, go with an Intex Super Tough. That will cost about about $70.
