no these are both Blue Bird babies. They are in a cam box. I saw mom lay the eggs. Though I did not get to see this batch hatch,I did see the eggs at 10 pm and the 2 hatched babies at 10 am the next morning. Within minutes of my last post big baby girl nearly followed mom out of the box. They may be leaving tomorrow. The good news is that little boy blue (named by Donna)seemed to be visually following a fly today. I am not sure if he actually saw it or if he was just following the noise, but it was enough for me to think that he may be sighted. He seems perfect in every way except his size and eyes. Both babies were getting in some good wing flapping. I think if little boy blue can see, he is about ready for the world, he may be a bit "slow" but he seems to know he was meant to fly. I dont have to go anywhere till Friday afternoon so I can be on constant watch. I will let you all know.

Here in Central WI, I have two pairs of Blues on their second nesting, they are both incubating at the moment. One nesting should be hatching by this wednesday and the other about five days later, both have four eggs. Not sure if any would just be starting a second nesting this late now though. The one pair started the second nest within days of fledging the first brood. The other pair waited over two weeks! This is only my fourth year hosting/monitoring Bluebirds and I have always had them bring the babies back and keep eating the mealworms I offered until they left in Oct/November. Not sure if they all stay at the feeders though, I think it greatly depends on where you live if the Blues migrate from your area in the Fall or not. Donna

sounds fine to me! women always need more space then men. my vanity area is 66" long and I'm thinking of putting in something like a 24" cab with a 15" drawer stack next to it and a 24" (or so) lower counter top to the left of the cabinet. something like that is great for putting on make up or doing your nails. neither of which I do much of any more!

Oh, I agree.... these surprise transformations they create look like 'plastic' if you know what I mean...! I must admit, I am a fan of a slightly dishevelled garden - one that looks loved and lived in... My garden will never have a tram-line lawn, knife-blade lawn edges, and paths that don't even know what a weed is... But I will love it - I DO love it - and I can't wait to develop it into a picture of 'me'....
